The owners' careful commitment to non-toxic materials and furnishings result in a peaceful, soul-deep feeling of relaxation and refreshment. The hosts were extraordinarily kind and interested in our enjoyment of the inn and the area. We were left with an infusion of gratitude and well-being. If we could rate this place higher than excellent, I would. It is simply the... More

I was looking to stay in a Castle of all places.....however, the beauty and quiet solitude of this place was amazing! We enjoyed the Most Romantic Weekend ever and will definitely be back to check out the other rooms here!

The Topia Inn is a really fun place to stay and a different experience. I thought it was really cool that every product they used was organic and non-toxic, and I really liked the organic healthy breakfasts! I thought it was cool that they are so environmentally friendly. The innkeeper Harriet was super nice. It's very quiet and calming there... More

It was a very relaxing stay. EVERYTHING was so clean. I loved the fact that they only use organic and natural products. The breakfast was delicious. I am not one who usually likes oatmeal but Kurt made a very delicious baked oatmeal and I enjoyed it. The inn keeper, Kurt, was very attentive and helpful. I wasn't to fond of... More

We were looking for a place to stay in the Berkshires because we were going to Tanglewood. When we drove up to Topia we couldn't understand what had we gotten into, as it is located in a town, not far from a bar. Then we walked in the door and were completely blown away (in the best sense) by what... More

My husband and I spent our vacation driving through parts of New England and Canada, and spent our final night at the Topia Inn. We chose it because of the interesting reviews it received, as well as the Living Social deal we were able to get. What a great choice this was! Yes, it is a little different from most... More

This is a very interesting experience and would highly recommend it. We stayed in the room with floating bed and we had a great sleep. The breakfast was excellent. The neighborhood may seem a bit shady in the beginning compared to other parts of Berkshire but we had no issues and it was close to North Adams and Williamstown.

We spent two nights here and were so glad we spent that extra money. We were talking about our next stay before we even left. The inn is so quiet and comfortable you can't help but relax. The only rule we were apprehensive about was no food or drink in the rooms. However, the common room and porch were so... More

Once you enter the front door and drop your shoes (so no tracking of dirt and toxins into the space), it's heaven. The quiet hush, the fresh air that is circulated throughout the inn every hour, the wonderful products the owners ask you to use, to the linens, and the super comfortable beds, I couldn't believe what we had walked... Interesting concept in a beautiful area. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a little overbearing and one has the constant feeling of being watched and having to watch oneself (e.g. no eating, drinking in the room, having to use their bath-products, the breakfast "selection"), which makes it difficult to relax. The service was friendly but not very professional - e.g. no one... More

Topia I, Owner at Topia Inn, responded to this review

When you go against the main stream and offer something that is unique and outside the box, it is not for the majority of people. That's why the guests who appreciate our inn most are the "eco" tourists and people who walk a different path. We do not use the production line fragrant cleaners and detergents. All of our beds...
