Went for the weekend of the boat show and wanted to stay somewhere quaint instead off the usual Marriot. We were very pleased with the Historic Inn of Annapolis. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The roomwas old but just what we expected. We would definitely stash here again.

We came early for the boat show and stayed 7 night at the Governor Calvert House. The staff were generally helpful. Our room was large and comfortable. The bathroom could use some updating but it was all functional. The hotel had a lot of functions during the week, including a wedding on the Saturday night, but we were not inconvenienced... More

Very good service at reception which continued for the whole stay. Plenty of information given about the surroundings which are superb. Central location was great for site seeing. Rooms are not clinical but what do you expect with the historical buildings. Thanks for keeping it so nice.

This is not my first review of Historic Inns.....particularly the Governor Calvert House....but since this may have been our last visit for a while I feel compeled to write another one. We have been staying at the Governor Calvert House off and on for the past 4 years. Recently on a visit to Annapolis we had to stay at another... More

Recently i organized a group excursion to downtown Annapolis and I wanted to stay somewhere where guests could easily walk around the historic town center. Historic Inns of Annapolis is a wonderful hotel with a spectacular location! I stayed here for one night several weeks ago so that I could visit the Naval Academy and see the historic parts of Annapolis. I stayed in the Maryland Inn which is just a short walk from the main inn (where you leave your car for the valet and check in.) The building is obviously quite old and retains its... More

We had the opportunity to sleep at one of the Historic Inns. I was expecting something more basic - but was pleasantly surprised at the accomodations. While I had some modern sleep, the ambiance was truly historic. I could easily imagine myself getting up and putting on my powered wig, tailed coat, knickers, long stockings and buckle shoes as I... We decided to spend the night in Annapolis after a Friday night dinner with colleagues in Annapolis. OK, trying to find a hotel room in Annapolis when Navy is playing at home can be challenging. We did find an en suite room that was perfect. It was quiet and very nice with a big bed and great pillows. We valet... More

I recently stayed at the beautiful historic inns I Annapolis. The location was perfect and hotel was clean and elegant. The valet service was incredible. I was shocked at the condition of the room. The bed skirts were torn, then pinned together. The bath tub looked like it had been painted and the paint was peeling off. The outlet in the bathroom did not work so couldn't use my hair dryer. VERY disappointed.

mradike1, General Manager at Historic Inns of Annapolis, responded to this review

Dear Pat N: Thank you for your feedback about your recent stay. I am very sorry that you did not find the room to be appropriate. We will work to identify the room in question; we routinely replace bed skirts and I am sorry this one was overlooked. With regard to the tub I must apologize for this as well.... More
