We spent two nights in the Maryland Inn. It was the perfect setting for a fun weekend. This was our first trip to Annapolis and the location could not have been better. The good: location, Valet service, historic vibe, no ghost (that we were aware of), very friendly staff, reasonable price. The bad: small room and bed, slippery tub, and... More

Dear mahimahiamhimahi: Thank you for posting your feedback. I was delighted that you found many features of the Historic Inns that you were happy with. I appreciate the additional feedback on the room; some of it is due to the historic nature of our buildings but we will continue to focus on those items which we can control. We value... More

We loved the Calvert Inn. The building is old and very elegant. Don't miss the transparent floor that allows you to see the original foundations of the building. There's also a cabinet full of things dug up from the excavation such as clay pipes, china and silverware. One of the best features was the valet parking which made driving to... More

The good: Close to everything, right on the corner of Main Street. You can walk just about anywhere from this point, including Eastside restaurants. Rooms are clean, comfortable and beds are great. Reasonably priced for amenities The bad: Check in is at sister property, kind of awkward. Bathroom is tiny. I actually fell into the bathtub and sustained a head... More

Dear ElGordoJefe: Thank you for posting your feedback. First, I certainly apologize that you fell and hope you are OK and feeling better, also hoping you reported this to us so that we were able to check on you. I apologize for the size of our bathrooms; that size is impacted by the historic nature of our buildings. I was... More

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2015 for a work function with several coworkers at the Maryland Inn. My room (415) was very small - but sufficient for my needs and recently remodeled. Others' reported their rooms were very spacious, clean, and recently remodeled as well. As the Hotel was built in the 1700s it's understandable that there were some... More

Our annual St. Pat's Day Weekend in Annapolis was perfect due to the fact that we stayed at Maryland Inn - the location was convenient, room was well-appointed and price was right. When we come to Annapolis, unless you are already booked, we always stay at the Historic Inns. We like the fact that we can park our car and... More

I stayed in the Maryland Inn for four nights. Nice room with the feel of the 18th century. It was built in 1776. Everything worked well and the service was great. My only complaint was the window heater/air conditioner was very loud. It didn't bother me too much but I can sleep through most anything. It would be a non-starter... More

My husband and I stayed at the Calvert House and it was wonderful. We stayed in room 202 which was large and very quiet (at the end of the hallway). We were in town for the weekend and didn't move our car once! Everything was easy so close to the inn. We'd stay there again for the location alone. The... More

Perfect location, attractive and spacious room. Even had good parking karma and parked right on State Circle in front of the property (we were in Governor Calvert House). Only downside of our short stay were the pillows....the thickest, fluffiest I have ever encountered in a hotel. Perfect for sitting up in bed, not so much for sleeping on your side... More

Our first visit to The Maryland Inn back in the 90s was disastrous. Clanking radiators, a used washcloth found (and left) in the tub during the entire stay and one of the coldest rooms I've ever experienced. The only saving grace was the food and music (what a surprise to hear guitarist John Pizzarelli!). This time around - over Valentine's... More

We spent a weekend here and were very disappointed in our room. It isn't immediately clear from their website until you dig in, but there are three separate properties under the umbrella of Historic Inns of Annapolis. These include the Maryland Inn, Governor Calvert House and Robert Johnson House. The front desk/check in is in the Governor Calvert House and... More
