This was our second stay at the Historic Inns, each time we were in Governor Calvert House. We pulled up and received immediately assistance with our luggage. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and valet parking was great, especially considering that all the major sites in Annapolis are within walking distance (just a few blocks away). Our room was spotless,... More

Dear Lynn O: Thank you for your feedback and for your continued patronage of the Historic Inns. It was great to know that we have consistently delivered a positive experience on several occasions. I am sorry that we did not properly attend to the ice bucket; I will share that feedback with my Director of Housekeeping for his follow up.... More

Great lodging at a motel price. We stayed in the Robert Johnson House (circa 1733) in response to our request for windows that would open. They did, with a gorgeous view of the Capitol and its manicured, flower-bedecked grounds across the street. Living in the midst of history. Five or 10 minutes walk from everything! Luxurious beds and furnishings. Elevator.... More

Dear exprof: Thank you for your feedback. I am delighted we presented a great value to you although we do strive to provide a much better impression than the connotation implied by “motel.” Your detailed feedback touched on a number of very positive aspects of the Historic Inns, from our great location to the attention provided by our team. This is a truly historic and older group of buildings walking distance to the State House, and harbor and shops. Some stairs, smaller rooms and small beds-not for those who insist on high tech, high rise hotels with fitness rooms, etc. It is best for those who enjoy history, charm and don't care that parking is very hard.

Dear genieb070165: Thank you for providing some feedback on your recent stay with us. I am glad you found several of the unique features of our hotel to be positive aspects of your stay; we are not a “brand” hotel and so do not have the same type of ambiance. I apologize that you felt parking was “hard.” I will... More

The hotel is well situated right in the middle of historic Annapolis and the three buildings are packed with history. The rooms are traditional yet well maintained and have many modern conveniences. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My first night at the hotel was spent in the Maryland Inn. I had a small room at one end of... More

I arrived and was checking in when I was told that my room had been upgraded to a suite. I was staying at The Maryland Inn and was on the 4th floor with a view of the harbor. The valet staff was very friendly and drove us over to the inn since we weren't sure where to park while unloading.... More

My wife and I stayed one night without the kids. The rooms are basic, but we enjoyed the historic feel. The rooms were very clean, the staff was amazing. They pointed out perfect locations for both dinner and drinks. We stayed at the Calvert House and already planning our next stay at the Maryland Inn.

Just got back from an amazing weekend in Annapolis. Got the suite in the Governor Calvert House, which was very nice. Had a tub in the bedroom which I always think is just funny! The staff were very nice, very accomadating (including getting my car at 5:30 AM so I could run the Annapolis A-10 Ten Miler Sunday morning). All... More

We booked our room through priceline so I didn't know which Inn we would stay at until check in. The gentleman at check in were very friendly and personable. I got to the Governor Calvert House after major car trouble, then a business meeting that ran late. By the time that my sister and I arrived, we were hot and tired.
