We received a night on the Schooner Woodwind as a gift. It proved to be an unforgettable experience. There is a late afternoon/evening cruise, and it was beautiful. The staff made the cruise a memorable experience. The captain allowed several people to take the helm, which was quite a thrill. After the cruise we put in at Annapolis and went ashore for a nice dinner. When we returned we went to our quarters. The accommodations are tight, and the hygiene facilities small. You expect this from the type of vessel you're on, but it isn't for everyone. We were fortunate to be sharing the experience with a couple we know, and had a great time. If you can arrange to share the fun with three couples you know, it will greatly enhance your trip.
Captain John served a tasty breakfast in the morning, and then we went ashore.
For a wonderful adventure this was unforgettable. The sleeping and sanitary facilities may not be everyone's taste.
