We went away for a few days in June to be alone. The Inn was very centrally located. We stayed in the Queen Mary room. It could really use some renovations, but good for the promotional price of $99/night. My biggest complaint in the room was the bathtub/shower combo. The tub is so high, I tripped getting in and out.... more

Thank you for noting the value of our hotel. We generally set our prices from the market. The Queen Mary with a King Bed and Jacuzzi was the same price as double bed from Historic Inns of Annapolis and less than half the price of other downtown B&Bs the night you stayed. As an Inn and not a B&B we...

As part of a Mother's Day gift from my husband, I stayed here for one night to have some peace and quiet away from the craziness that comes with having three kids under 5. The positive - the owners were very nice and the room was well appointed, though a little dated. You definitely can't beat the location - you're... more

We and our little dog just spent one night at The State House and would definitely return. The owner, Frances, was so helpful and accommodating. You could not ask for a better location, right in the center of Annapolis with all the great restaurants, shops and harbor within walking distance. We stayed in the Chesapeake Room - good size room.... more

I was booked to work at the US Naval Academy and had no real background on Annapolis before arriving. The Academy booked this hotel or me and I'm very, very pleased that they did. Arrived much later than originally expected, due to delays with United Airlines, and the owner - Maureen - had stayed up all night to let me... more

Will return again. Very good large room (King George). Excellent service, hospitality and cleanliness. Can't beat the location. On State St. Circle and behind shops on Main St. Short walk to U.S. Naval Academy. Cost is very reasonable. more

If you want to be in the heart of Annapolis and don't want to spend a fortune on your stay, the State House Inn is your best bet. With rooms starting just over $100 a night (not included all the state and local room taxes), the State House Inn is in the perfect location for touring all of Annapolis' historic... more

Great Location; Friendly Staff; Clean; Comfortable Beds. Other than that, the place is an absolute wreck, furnishings and fixtures are broken, beaten and battered; Would never believe that location/exterior would harbor that kind of interior!! Imagine upper midwest rooming house 30 years ago. more

Due to business in Springfield I stayed at this hotel. What a lovely hotel. Retro 60's decor with a flair, scrumptious breakfast buffet, friendly, professional staff, comfy mattresses, plush bathrobes, convenient to tourist attractions. Don, the bartender has a wealth of knowledge about the city. Drink coupon at check in for use in the No Name Bar was a nice... more

I have to admit when I first saw it I thought, "Oh God. It looks haunted!" Then I rang the doorbell, and the innkeeper answered immediately. Very friendly and professional gentleman. I think his name was Dan Crowley. The room was smaller than I thought it would be, and wasn't like you'd find in a new hotel---it was a bit... more
