This hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the hotel staff was very helpful. I loved that the Christmas Tree Shoppe & Tj Maxx were right next door. After shopping I had dinner at the Mexican restaurant they have right on property. This hotel is a great place at a nice price. more

In Augusta on business and needed something relatively inexpensive as I needed to stay five nights. This place worked out great. The desk staff was super, especially Virginia. The room was clean, nice and well furnished. And I always like parking in front of my room. The Mexican restaurant on site was fabulous. Ate there three nights. We even rented... more

I hate to complain and I feel horrible about saying this because the hotel clerks were so nice but we had to leave this hotel due to every room smelling like stale cigarette smoke. It was awful. They tried to help us out by giving us a different room but every room we walked into it was the same smell.... more

I've stayed at many average hotels, you aren't going to get much but that's to be expected. The room seemed clean, the only thing wrong with it was that our shower was clogged. You definitely get what you pay for in this cheap Augusta hotel. more

My family and I stayed here to break up our long drive to Bar Harbor Maine for Labor Day Weekend. It was half the price of staying in Bar Harbor ($70) and we got what we paid for. The room was dated, shabby and not entirely clean. Our room surrounded the pool with a wall of glass covered by curtains... more

This place has been the same since I started staying there for a week at a time, two or three times a year. It's always been livable but could be cleaner. I think that it's as clean as the staff can make it and nothing short of a full renovation will cure it's ills. But all in all, I still... more

Came up to Central Maine for the weekend to visit my little sis at camp and spend some time enjoying the area with the rest of the family. Had originally wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn, but it was sold out. The hotel situation in Augusta is an embarrasment for any city, let alone a state capital. I love... more

I noticed the last review and figure they must have been in a differnt hotel. We loved this place. It was very clean. Not fancy, but very well maintained. We loved the huge breakfast room and make your own waffles. I have never stayed in an economy hotel with such class. Value is exceptional! ps. Stafff was extremely capable and... more

On July 19th 2006 we checked in. To start with, the only room that was available was one with a king size bed....that's fine, we didn't book ahead, so we took it. We requested a cot for our daughter to sleep on. Sorry the girl behind the desk said, "i'm the only person working tonight, and i can't leave the... more

We trust the ranking we find at Tripadvisor very much. This time it was very misleading. Staff was helpful, but rooms were not clean and smelled strange. Location is OK and rate was reasonable. To keep the long story about our one night stay short - only this: Please think about choosing another hotel in Augusta. more
