Filthy, with foreign hairs around the sink before I ever used it. Foreign hair on my pillow. Stained bedding. Cobwebs in the corners. Our "non-smoking room" reeked of smoke. UGLY! Just head on down the road elsewhere...BUT, eat at DaVinci's in Lewiston and drink beer @ Gritty's in Auburn...good good good. more

I stayed at the Econo Lodge in Auburn back in Late June-Early July 2008. The hallways were pretty dirty as they had little pieces of paper all over the floor. The beds were hard as a rock and were very hard to sleep on. The floor even seemed tempting. Also, the air conditioning in our room was always blowing a... more

A dark and grungy building in need of major upgrades and renovation. The mattress seemed to run uphill to your feet, the linens should have been replaced a long time ago. The white faceclothes were only white around the perimeter, brown otherwise. Disgusting 1ft by 2ft mold spot on the shower ceiling and the exhaust vent was clogged with dirt.... more

We stayed here for two nights during the Labour Day weekend. We arrived at 10pm, and found the staff to be pleasant enough. The rooms are basic, but we were only looking for a place to stay. We really didn't spend much time in our room, but it was adequate for what we needed. The bed (a king) was comfortable... more

This hotel is worse than terrible -- dark, poorly furnished room. Patio in our room had a broken louge chair -- this is Maine -- cold and wet! Linens (sheets and towels) threadbear. Desk staff was surley. more

I haven't had such terrible experience in dealing with hotels in my life. I booked this hotel for three nights in advance by calling directly to the property. They told me that the rate is $75.99 per night. My trip didn't work out and I cancelled the reservation, but less than 24 hours in advance. I understood and agreed that... more

I was hesitant to say at this lodge because I had read the awful reveiws. I called the lodge and asked if I would be able to see a room before booking. The clerk was more than pleasant. When we arrived I saw a very clean room. Each room not only was clean but had HBO and a nice t.v... more

I took a room here at the Econo Lodge on a business trip. The room was booked almost 2 months in advance. On the website, the rooms are advertized having amenities such as coffee/pot, refridgerator, microwave, highspeed internet and cable tv. Well, the room had all except the iron/ironing board, coffee/coffee pot and a very poor quality tv set (looked... more

Excellent service and the staff was great. Great place to stay away from home. The rooms are clean and priced at a good rate. A plus. more
