After unfortunate kayak capsizing in Androscoggin River in Lewiston, ME, they cheerfully and thoroughly dried my soaking wet clothes. Room was very comfortable, real blankets on bed, and staff was very kind. I would highly recommend.

When making the reservation over the phone I was impressed with the excellent communication skills presented by Lynn. She answered all the questions that I asked, leaving me with a very favorable impression and feeling very comfortable. After finishing up a business conference in Atlanta, I spent a week visiting family in the Auburn area. Due to delays in my... More

My father passed away in Auburn Maine and I did not want to stay at an impersonal big chain hotel. I chose the Sleepy Time Motel and I could not have chosen better. The owners Mark and Lynn were so kind to me when I called in tears looking for a place to stay to attend my father's memorial service... More

This place was a complete surprise. If you have time in daylight, wander around the back yard to peruse the owner's taste in artwork & lawn sculptures. My room was paneled and somewhat crowded with two tables, a wall mounted TV, a small round table and chairs in the back chubby, and a recliner in front of the TV/table. I... More

Clean, unpretentious, and very much of an earlier era: '60 knotty pine and La-Z-Boys. I loved it. Big room, fine amenities. Would stay there again...this time in the summer when I could walk the trails behind the motel.

We chose the Sleepy Time because of the reviews we saw here about cleanliness. We were also impressed. It's an older roadside motel-style property that has been remodeled and maintained in excellent fashion. We were impressed by the quiet large room with fridge, microwave, recliner chairs, etc. There grounds were well groomed with flowers. The owners were very nice, and... More

We wanted an overnight stop on the way to North Conway and took a chance on an unbranded motel. What a gem! Small and family run it cannot be bettered. Large room with 2 queen beds, a recliner chair, table and chairs, fridge with bottled water, microwave, plates, cutlery etc. tubs of beautiful geraniums outside each door and lovely grounds... More

A choice small motel with all the services of a larger motel, but without the dirty and noisy rooms and without guests walking on a second floor to disturb one's peace or sleep. There are parking spaces in front of the rooms and they are very wide so there is no squeezing in and out of car doors to get... More

Room was impeccably clean, large and extremely comfortable. The two recliners were a welcome addition. Was disappointed we were only staying one night. Would be a wonderful place to stay for an extended period.

Being a skeptic, I wondered if Sleepy Time could possibly live up to its outstanding reviews. It did, in every way! Beautiful grounds and a warm welcome made for a positive first impression, and nothing thereafter disappointed: the room was immaculate and very quiet, comfortably furnished, with an excellent mattress, easy chairs, flat screen TV, and dining area complete with...
