The food prepared is gourmet and excellent. The owner is such a nice lady and very accommodating when she is in. The rooms are beautiful and you feel comfortable throughout the house. The location is central and within easy distance of Bates college and restaurants of Auburn and Lewiston. It was such an enjoyable stay.

Staying at this inn was the greatest delight! The rooms are quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the food was unbelievable! Olga is kind, helpful, and an excellent conversationalist. Her dog is a sweetheart as well.

With a new owner comes a different experience. I had written an exceptional review when the former owners were still the innkeepers. We had booked all of our stays through May of 2016 after our very first visit to the Munroe Inn. We have since cancelled all of our reservations. The new owner, Olga, lacks the personal, warm attention that... More

Debbie, I am sorry for your change of heart, and that your expectations were not met. Respectfully, I would like to point out that when you make a reservation 4 years ahead with previous owners, you should not expect to get the same rate of $130 graduation weekend, the most expensive rate of the year. Please note that I inherited... More

When we travel we usually stay in hotels or timeshares. But being from New England and my BF who has never been, I told him we have to stay in a quaint B&B type of location. After searching and searching and calling and calling tons us places I finally found the Munroe Inn, an old Victorian house. Being Labor day... More

We usually don't like B&B's but loved this one. We stayed in the Florence Suite as was large and there was 3 of us. Olga was lovely and very helpful. She put extra bed in there for our son and there was plenty of room for it. Most hotels would give you a cot but this was actual twin bed... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Munroe Inn and will definitely stay again! The service was personal, professional and friendly. We were made to feel comfortable as Olga showed us to our Suite (the largest room in the Bed and Breakfast & well worth IT)! It's beautiful Victorian decor was something from a classy movie. The homemade... More

We were visiting Bates Collage and found this little New Ingland Inn. We had a large room with big windows facing the front (very quiet street) and stained glass window on the side. The bed was high up with fabulous cushy bedding; very cozy. The breakfast that was included in the price was delicious and made by the very friendly... More

This is a great Inn. The hostess is attentive and personally makes her gourmet, local, organic breakfasts. The rooms are lovely and clean. The reason for the "Very Good" rating instead of an "excellent" one is that we're normally out with our children, and so, we're used to the chain hotel experience- we were amazed at how much that played... Olga is the latest of several owners and, as of this writing, a quite recent one. The history of the place and how Olga came to own and run it is interesting and can be found on the webpage. I'm not sure what it looked like before, but from conversations, you can tell that the decorations and paintings came with... More
