This hotel works with us when we have out of town guests. You cannot expect a Hilton experience for a room that costs 5o or 60 dollars They do a great job. Our guests all remark about the friendliness of the staff and good breakfast available. For the price this place is a good deal.

I found a mouse in the room when I came in for the evening! The rooms also smell like mildew and mold. The carpets look also look like they haven't been cleaned or vacuumed in a decade. The bathroom towels are slightly larger than a hand towels. Overall not happy with my stay here.

Dear Valued Guest. I would like to first apologize for the dissatisfaction in which you found your room. I would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention. Although we do take pride in our cleaning staff I believe this is an isolated incident in which some housekeeping was overlooked, also our pest control professional has inspected the... More

This hotel was awful. The only redeeming points we're the hot breakfast that was served 5-930am and the pool. The sheets really need to be washed, the wifi didn't even work, the guest service was absolutely horrendous. I'm from Minnesota, so maybe i'm used to that MN niceness but i'm not exactly sure that southern hospitality thing is real. The... More

Comfortable hotel. Very helpful staff. Our tv did not work and we were immediately moved to another room. The room was quiet. In searching for a local restaurant we discovered none were open on Sunday evenings. However, several fast-food chains were available. We would stay here again.

Rooms are substandard as the bed is no better than a wooden table you are sleeping on. I'm pretty sure mine was as taught as a snare drum. My AC unit was also a bit on the fritz. The saving grace of this review was the friendly receptionist and staff that was working.

We extended a road trip to Lake Charles to include an overnight excursion to eat at Shucks in Abbeville. Needing a place where our small dog would be accepted we chose the Magnuson Hotel. The front desk ladies were super sweet. The room was clean and comfortable for a quick stay. Would we stay again? Sure we would.

We stayed here one night as we were passing through LA. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with info. The hotel is about 20 minutes or so from Avery Island, so adding in a tour of the Tabasco factory is very convenient on your way in or out of town. The hotel itself seemed clean, though there was... I stay in this hotel while working in the Southern Louisiana area. The location is on the edge of town immediately next to the airport. The staff have always been courteous and competent. The rooms are fairly large and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and I never have trouble sleeping. Abbeville is a small town near Lafayette, and... More

We stayed two nights here during Memorial Weekend for a family reunion. It was completely adequate for our purpose in Abbeville. Check-in was a breeze. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. The shower always had hot water. The air conditioner worked well even in the 80-90 degree temperatures. The beds were a little more firm than I would... More

I found nothing wrong with this hotel. I paid $45 on Priceline and that was what it was worth. They have mostly construction people staying here, they were quiet and gone quite early in the morning. Breakfast was adequate.
