Stayed here for 2 nights. The room is OK but the mattress seems like a few years old, can feel the spring at some spots. Food in the restaurant is good but can have more variety and more local food as well. The staff are very friendly and look after us well.

My stay at the Vaiaku Lagi was very pleasant. Facilities are basic, but they are the best you'll find on Funafuti and definitely met my needs. Hot water is non-existent, and electricity can be intermittent ins ome rooms - but all very deal-able! The staff were lovely - if you are courteous and have a sense of humour and patience,... More

I came here for meals a few times during my stay. Prices were very cheap (at around $7 AUD per meal). Quality was fairly average, but you aren't going to find better in Tuvalu. Beer was available but just VB at $2.50 a can. Friendly staff. A good place to watch the sunset. Also good to use the internet here... More

Ask for a upstairs room, be aware there is no hot water so showering in evening is better and it's cash only so take enough aud into the country. It is cheap and the food is fine, rooms are also fine. Basically pretty average but the views are million dollar!

Stayed a couple of nights second floor middle, what a view of sunsets! This a hard review to write, because this hotel in another city with competitors might not fare so well. The staff went way beyond in helping us from arrival, picking up our bags, check in, meals, food ( very good by the way). Going to Tuvalu you... More

This place is probably your best bet on the island. Its run down, falling apart and the cleaners only seem to clean the middle of the floor. But the staff are very helpful, didn't seem to be many bugs or other wildlife in the room. Its very pricey for what it is.

We arrived on Tuvalu with the expectation to have a relaxed, low standard holiday with no luxury and no entertainment as we knew this island is not a tourist place but what we experienced was way worse and everything but a holiday. All started long before we got there, it took us 4 weeks to reach someone from the hotel.... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights in a quest to visit the worlds countries. I am giving it a 3 based on where it is. I always have a tough time with this rating system because I give The Ritz in London or the Plaza in NYC a 5 and this hotel a 3. I try to rate... More

There is only one hotel and this is owned by the Government. the staff are great - very friendly and will help with anything. the place is on the water with stunning views from the rooms and restaurant which sells locally caught, fresh fish. there is no hot water but that is no problem. the staff are keen to learn...
