there are two of the hotels one is smaller size which is near the airport and this one is the best just opposite to the Funafuti International Airport , it has 16 rooms in total i guess , secondly i liked the food very much as there are only few restaurants here which are actually good and street markets too... I was booked here for the full two weeks of my stay but lasted only two nights. They have 3 to 4 functions there a week where the music is played at volume 11+++. The second night lasting till two in the morning. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms rundown. Food average. Moved to Filamona House which I rate... More

It is difficult to review this hotel without talking about Funafuti town, and Tuvalu, the second smallest country in the world. It is an atoll, and is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Funafuti is connected only to Suva, Fiji by Fiji Airlines flights twice a week. Tourists to Tuvalu are rare, but a lot of people... More

Keeping in mind this is the only real hotel on Tuvalu, there is still a lot of work needed to make this place worth what they charge. The rooms are a good size, but the bed I had was not particularly comfortable and the bedding was old and even stained. The room had a small mini fridge, air con and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room is OK but the mattress seems like a few years old, can feel the spring at some spots. Food in the restaurant is good but can have more variety and more local food as well. The staff are very friendly and look after us well.

My stay at the Vaiaku Lagi was very pleasant. Facilities are basic, but they are the best you'll find on Funafuti and definitely met my needs. Hot water is non-existent, and electricity can be intermittent ins ome rooms - but all very deal-able! The staff were lovely - if you are courteous and have a sense of humour and patience,... More

I came here for meals a few times during my stay. Prices were very cheap (at around $7 AUD per meal). Quality was fairly average, but you aren't going to find better in Tuvalu. Beer was available but just VB at $2.50 a can. Friendly staff. A good place to watch the sunset. Also good to use the internet here... More

Ask for a upstairs room, be aware there is no hot water so showering in evening is better and it's cash only so take enough aud into the country. It is cheap and the food is fine, rooms are also fine. Basically pretty average but the views are million dollar!

Stayed a couple of nights second floor middle, what a view of sunsets! This a hard review to write, because this hotel in another city with competitors might not fare so well. The staff went way beyond in helping us from arrival, picking up our bags, check in, meals, food ( very good by the way). Going to Tuvalu you... More

This place is probably your best bet on the island. Its run down, falling apart and the cleaners only seem to clean the middle of the floor. But the staff are very helpful, didn't seem to be many bugs or other wildlife in the room. Its very pricey for what it is.
