On a recommendation of friends, we stayed at the Balboa Inn during our day in Panama before returning home. TThe grounds are lovely and Bill and Mieke organized our one day trip of Panama City with excellent Drivers (thanks Samuel) and a wonderful tour of Casco Viejo by Gloria Smith. It is the only "hot" shower I had during my... More

This lovely B&B is a place which is one of the nicest we have stayed in during our trip in Panama. Bill and Mieke are very caring, nice people with a lot of knowledge about every aspect of Panama and the 'Panamenian way of life'. Please people visit them and vote the Balboa Inn to number 1 in the Tripadvisor... More

Bill and Mieke basically saved the end of our holiday! They went out of their way to help us get the most out of our last few days in Panama - can't thank them enough for their effort and kindness in arranging drivers, giving us great advice on locations, and organising us a stay in San Blas, all at the... If you are looking for a convenient place to sleep with breakfast, this is it. Close to many places, just a short cab ride to anywhere you want to go, especially if you are exploring the Ancon, Allbrook, Canal, Casco Viejo and much more. The accomodations are nice, lots of hot water, cold A/C, windows and a nice place to... More

During our 3-week holiday in Panama we stayed a few times at the balboa inn. We had a wonderful time there, especially because mieke en bill have so much info to share. Not only in panama city but in the rest of panama as well. We slept in 4 different rooms and each one was as nice as the other.... More

Bill and Mieke run a bed and breakfast in a home that is part of a suburban development not far from Panama City. My family stayed with four other couples for a few nights going to and going from The Republic of Panama. The rooms were not fancy, but they were clean, insect-free, air-conditioned and satisfactory. The nicest parts of... More

I try to approach every situation with an open mind and give the benefit of a doubt, but I am sincerely confused by all the positive reviews for this property and was extremely disappointed. PROS: -location: good location close to Albrook, Casa Viejo, the Canal, and the Causeway - breakfast: a good selection, nothing special, typical continental spread - hosts:... More

On my way to a ten day stay in Bocas del Toro from the UK I stayed for one night in the Balboa Inn and returned for a four night visit on my way back through Panama City. I was met at PTY by one of the Inn's regular drivers and arrived for my first night at 23:30. Bill had... More

We like to stay in B&B's to meet other travellers and gather info of the area from the Hosts. We were totally disappointed and only stayed one night. We booked a large room so we would have some space but it was very small, no closet for clothes, one hard chair to sit on, uncomfortable bed & tiny shower. Compared... More

The Inn was in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood. The Cerro Ancon mountain was 1/2 mile away and great jog or hike from the Inn. The owners were very nice and made multiple phone calls for us due to missing luggage, without charge. They also lent us bug repellant and sun screen until the airlines delivered our suitcase .We appreciate... More
