The Hotel Marparaiso is a basic place to stay, but clean and well-located for a stay in Panama City. An easy walk to The Fish Market and Casco Viejo. A metro station is only 3 blocks. Hot breakfasts are included. For those arriving in Panama City, a free hotel shuttle is provided. Two of the front desk attendants were fluent... More

Front Desk courtesy speaks English very helpful 10 out of 10.need a raise. Rooms are desperate need of reno . My closet door has more security. Breakfast 2 cold buns and 2 eggs basically a child's serving. If they added a little potato some tomato .but they don't. But its all about margins here. M 44.00 was a good price... More

We stayed in Marparaiso in December 2014/January 2015. The rooms are OK and clean. The Breakfast is for nothing and the personal is very, very unfriendly. Is like they don't like guests but the money. Once and not a second time.

Nice budget hotel at $50 per night for two. Clean tiled floors and firm beds with nice pillows. Air conditioner worked good and free breakfast was OK. Room not very big and even smaller bathroom but I'm a BIG guy and had no troubles with anything. Had room on 5th floor and could see the ocean (a little) and some... More

Marparaiso will be on the radar of budget travellers visiting Panama city, so it should not be compared with the fancy hotels downtown, which are about two to three times the price of this one. We stayed there for three days while waiting for the ferry going from Colon to Carthagena (Colombia), which leaves only twice a week. # look... More

Free pickup from airport or bus terminal, free simple breakfast with coffee, free wifi in rooms, hot water, air conditioning, flat screen cable TV, fridge in the room. At $40.00 per night it's a great deal especially if you want your privacy. Our only complaint is that the lighting in the room is very dim so it is impossible to... More

stayed 8 nights, will definitely stay again next trip to Panama City. Not 5 star hotel, maybe not even one star, but spotless, friendly, easily accesible, free airport transport, both ways, free breakfast, basic, eggs, etc. The downsides are: Coffee in restaurant so weak, I had to add instant to strengthen it. Vegetarians, forget it! I brought my own granola... More

Nothing great, but nothing horrible. For two of us, the price of $40/night was comparable to getting a private room at a hostel, and this place actually had rooms available with only a couple of days notice. Room was basic and seemed generally clean. Everything is a bit old and worn, but for exhausted, hot, budget travelers were were fine.... More

I stayed here 3 nights, and would stay here again. Good: The front desk staff were friendly, the AC was nice and cold, and I loved the view of the city streets from my 4th floor room. My parents' 4th floor room has a slight view of the ocean. The shuttle was about 20 min late picking me up at... More

Went to Panama City by bus. Arranged with hotel to be picked up by "free shuttle". When they weren't there, I called the hotel and the receptionist told me to get a cab. The only reason we chose this place was the shuttle. We arrive at the hotel to find a small basic room (not really a problem) but the... More
