I'm so shocked to see that La Estancia is closed and hope that they will open again! We must have stayed there during one of the last weeks it was open. The best thing about La Estancia was the staff. They were helpful and accommodating throughout our entire stay. One time, my wife got into an argument with a cab... More

This place was wonderful. In the morning, you can view of the monkeys eating bananas, read in the quiet patio, and breathe in the tranquil air. The staff were very helpful and even arranged for me to visit Kuna Yale. They also let me keep my bags there until I returned, as I could only bring one small bag with... More

This is a wonderful place to go if you have to be in PC but don't really want to be in PC proper-- up on a forested hill between downtown and the canal, this is a gorgeous respite. No television in rooms, but the rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean, modern enough, and the staff is very sweet. We felt... More

Mixed feelings about La Estancia......this could be so much more than just a stop over after landing in Panama City. We loved the breakfast and the friendly serving staff. The basic rooms were always tidy. We enjoyed taking evening walks up Ancon hill and spotting sloths, tropical birds and other wild life. The morning monkey visits were also wonderful. But... More

Was impressed with this location even before we arrived. Estaban helped to make canal tour, airport taxi, and rental car arrangements for us. He even provided suggestions on where to stay in the other cities we visited in Panama. Great location! Located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded with wildlife. A "quick" walk up the hill takes you to Cerro Ancon... More

As many have said, great place to stay:- good breakfast, good wifi, good ambiance, pleasant and helpful staff, great bird life and tamarind activity, shower room after checkout. But unfortunately we experienced real problems with the airport transfer system. This reached farcical proportions when four consecutive arrangements failed including the booking for our final transfer to Tocumen airport for our... More

The hustle and bustle of downtown Panama City is not for me or my wife. We were more interested in staying at a location that was quiet, comfortable and reflective of the true beauty of Panama and it's people. The staff here were the most friendly, accommodating and professional people that one could hope for. Assistance in the planning of... More

Located inside a hillside park in Panama City, this quiet hotel/B&B is the perfect place for one night-which we did-or longer. The manager is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You get breakfast and can watch an assortment of birds off the balcony while you eat.

We spent two nights here, on our arrival and before we left Panama. We arranged a transfer from Tocumen after our evening arrival and then another to the Allbrook airport in the mornign where we hired a car for our vacation. Sitting on top of the hill, Cerra Ancon, the hotel is in a quiet treed area and feels like... More

We greatly appreciate your review, Ancon Hill has a lot to offer, among these is an amazing view of the city. From the B&B you can see the Bridge of the Americas and if you choose to trail upwards to the peak of the hill, you'll get a great panoramic view of the city at only 25 min walk. The... More
