We stayed for 5 nights at hotel Roma. Although our room was below average by American standards, (very small window, limited furniture, etc.) we definitely enjoyed our stay both at the hotel and in Panama City. Despite the quality of the room, the staff came in every day to clean and replace the towels. In short, if you are getting... more

This is an average hotel. Rooms are small, but clean. TV was extraordinarily small. Elevator was European type-very small. Situated in the middle of Panama City. It is far from the airport and difficult to find for any foreign traveler with a rental vehicle. This is a place where you are totally dependent on taxi service. Pluses are good buffet... more

I read several bad reviews about this hotel, but I took the chance and stayed last week, on 2 ocassions, the first room we got was in the middle of the hotel, with no windows, but it was quiet, the AC was either too cold or too hot so we decided to leave it on and after dinner turn it... more

Our room had no window. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and it continued to make a noise also after cutting off the power (I know it seems impossible!). So we could not sleep at all. Moreover the area is ugly and the price is much higher than all the other hotels in the area. more

I have some major issues with this place. Our first night was in a room with NO windows, a little creepy, and I would have liked being made aware of this before opening the curtain. They have these wall-mounted roomkey holders that enable the electricity for the AC and lights, also not made aware until I called downstairs. They only... more

My husband and I just spent one night at this hotel and the experience was terrible. The bathroom and the sheets was dirty, I found a condom package at the head of the bed. The pillows were solid and smelt bad. I just hate it ! Stay away from this hotel. more

After reading some of the comments here I was skeptical about staying at Hotel Roma Plaza but I gave it a shot. I arrived at the hotel at 2:30am and the attendant at the front desk was very friendly and understanding. An issue arose in the states that could have caused problems with my reservation but it was quickly resolved.... more

Hotel is fine to stay in, clean room, bath, bring your own wash cloth, none provided. There is 24 hour security, hotel desk staff is great, speaks English, arranged city and canal tours, sent taxi to airport to pick up, supermarket , bank with ATM nearby, 24/7 restaurant, free breakfast. Internet in lobby only or use your labtop in lobby.... more

Before going to Panama City I read some of these reviews and was worried. When I arrived at the Roma Plaza--and understood what the whole city was about , I realized that it was my place to be. They would not let me park my rental car on the street, but insisted in letting me park in their garage. The... more
