Be prepared to stay in an old USA defense site which sits atop a hill high above the canopy. Great for birding. Noisy for sleeping. Bring earplugs. They try to think of everything in your room including a laundry line, plenty of hooks and a nightlight. The food was delicious. The guides were incredible. We visited Canopy Tower for a week in January. We appreciated that activities were offered as soon as we arrived. All activities were varied and most interesting. Our stay here was terrific. Our bird guide, Bennie, was terrific. Birds wonderful. Room comfort surpassing most other birding lodges we have been to. Good food. Other guests were interesting and great companions for our independently arranged four nights there. Elba, our trip arranger through the website number, made the details simple.

Whether you are exclusively into birding, or all animals as we are, if you can afford the prices the Canopy Tower is a terrific place.
