This hotel is luxury and service on par with the finest hotels in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, or London, for a fraction of the price. We stayed there on the first night of our honeymoon (before heading out for parts unknown) and for 2 nights when we returned to Panama City, and it was amazing. They gave us a... more

We stayed at the Bristol earlier in May for 4 nights. It is a great location and here are the pros: Great food at Dinner that was cooked to perfection, but the atmosphere was awful as we were disturbed by a loud band in an adjoing room. Break fast was poor with little variety and poor service. The Rum bar... more

We stayed at the Bristol for 4 nights in April. It was our 1st time to Panama City. Restaurant in the hotel was excellent - food was so delicious and creative. We dined with Panamanian friends who are in the know and world travelers and it's one of their favorite dining spots in Panama City. They insisted that we try... more

The Bristol is a relatively small and very comfortable hotel in a good location in Panama City. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was particularly comfortable. Used dishes left outside the door of our room were removed very quickly (to us a sign of attention). Fresh fruit in the room every day was appreciated (and unusual -- more... more

We were directed to the Bristol for a night stay from Coral Lodge who gets a rate of about 225... Very much like a typical Ritz Carlton Experience, soft beds, mahogany furniture. Loverly ambiance, a bit stogey, but that is what you asked for. If you need help with reservations and trvel they are helpful, but for the most part... more

My sister booked the stay at the Bristol for me via Tropical Discoveries. Thanks to Ken (at Tropical Discoveries), I was able to get a room at the Bristol two days before arriving in Panama. My knowledge of the Bristol was limited to the recom. of the agent, so unlike some of the other persons who have written their reviews,... more

This property was nice, and service was great, until I tried to check out. The hotel added over $100 in mystery charges and refused to produce an itemized bill. Suddenly the staff with great English didn't speak English and there was nothing they could do. At $300 a night, I expect a whole lot more than that. It took over... more

After reading some of the rave reviews, I was optomistic about our stay, but my overall impression, unfortunately, was less than stellar! Firstly, the entrance leaves much to be desired...where to enter is confusing and unattractive. The hotel is located on a narrow busy street in the Financial District...a street without sidewalks. The check-in is slow and @ times confusing....be... more

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be a lovely hotel with a very attentive staff. We did not like that we were charged $13. a day for an internet connection, $1. for each local call and about $40. for a breakfast for 2 each day. This is on top of a $350. room charge. It seems... more

I just returned from a getaway to Contadora with friends and stayed two nights at the Bristol Hotel. Everything from the decor, bedding, linens and complimentary hot breakfast buffet was over the top. Will definately stay again. more
