We stayed here for one night. We had been told that it would be $35 per night for a room with a private bath. But we were told when we arrived that didn't include towels or toilet paper or hot water. We ended up upgrading to the $60 room which also included air conditioning. The location lets you easily see... More

To sleep cheap in the fascinating old town, this hotel is an option. The entire old town is in walking distance and there are buses stopping fairly nearby. Staff very helpful. There was a movie crew filming when I was there. There are no elevators so one must lug one's bags all the way up. Really nice architectural touches, suggesting... More

Taste and savour an "Havana Style" nice old district. See the central square with the Cathedral and " l'altare de oro". Go until the Sea at Plaza de Francia. Some works are going on and some restrutctured houses are very beautiful. Sit and Look as life goes by. If You need help, just ask in Panana People are normally very... More

We've been sent to this place by another hostel that we were hoping to stay in which was full, and this was an overall good experience. The prices rang from $27.50 for two peope in a private room withiout a bathroom up to around $37 for a private room with a bathroom. Breakfast is included and is very good. The... More

We stayed 4 nights, great central location in older part of Panama City, very safe to walk around at night, restaurants very near, close to fish market and hop on hop off bus route. Apartment style well appointed, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms our unit faced the street and every night we were kept awake by loud music till 3 am..... More

Yes some common areas need a bit of maintenance/refurbishment but the lovely manager Helena is working on it. The rooms have different levels of amenities but they are all comfortable, practical and clean. There is no better location for a hotel in the whole of Panama City. Everybody gets fantastic service from all the staff who soon become like family.... More

Based on good reviews from the LP thorntree, we booked the penthouse suite at Casco Antiguo for 3 nights. When we arrived, we were met with a room that looked like it might have been the set of a depressing indie horror film, complete with no fewer than 5 huge buckets collecting water from the dilapidated ceiling. We moved to... More

Hotel Casco Antuguo offers good deals and great breakfasts. The morning staff was really sweet. It was quite noisy with children running around all over the lobby. But it was clean and had some interesting art deco remnants. It closes in on a shady part of town so be careful just wandering, but the neighborhood people were extremely helpful. An... More

This place was very, very basic. It looked like it might have been a nice hotel at some point but that must have been a long time ago. The bed was fine and the room was clean enough. However, it was definitely dingy and run down looking, and we didn't have a shower curtain. The main problem though was the... More

We spent a layover night at Hotel Casco Antiguo and were just looking for a place to sleep for a few hours before catching the bus back home to Boquete. It is not a hotel, it is hostel caliber. It is very basic, fairly clean but spartan and a bit run down. We had a private room with bathroom, the... More
