My spouse and I stayed at Casa Sucre for 3 nights and had an absolutely delightful time. The innkeepers, Alyse and Rich, are two of the warmest, most gracious people that we have ever met. The property itself is something in between a proper boutique hotel and B&B and is all the more charming for it. The rooms have been... More

I stayed here at the Casa Sucre Boutique Hotel with my family over the Holidays in December for 2 nights. From the first glance, the hotel seemed very nice and homey. The downstairs had a nice small courtyard with a couple of bedroom suites alongside it, and upstairs there was a very nice lounge area with doors leading to more... More

We flew all day from Idaho and ended up in Casa Sucre. We met Alyce and were warmly greeted. We had a great room with balcony over looking the historic town. We had a great sleep and spent 2 more nights. We walked all around town and ate at Rene's. This is a must. Then topped off the evening at... More

We stayed at Casa sucre after we'd been turfed out of another local hotel that had overbooked us on a hotel booking site. The hotel has a fantastic location right in the old town. The cafe had tasty breakfast too. The owners were really friendly and concerned for our enjoyment, asking every morning how we had slept! Would highly recommend... More

My mom and I stayed at Casa Sucre for 2 nights following an organized tour. Skeptical at first about staying in Casco Viejo, Rich and Alyce put our concerns to rest. After a reservation mix-up, we ended up in the Crema Apartment, a spacious "suite" with a private entrance off the street and direct access to the private inner courtyard.... More

I would categorize the accommodation as a spectacular B@B owned an operated by a charming and service oriented couple. I stayed in an apartment with a private entrance on the street and an attached courtyard, The space was sizeable and very reasonably priced given the location in the old city. The Coffee Shop which is also where breakfast is served... More

A great little place in a safe and historic part of town. Ideal for sightseeing and very friendly helpful owners. Only slight criticism was the poor choice of breakfast but there were good options elsewhere .... We would certainly come back.

We arrived to Casco Viejo without a place to stay. Although there weren't two nights available in the same room, Rich set us up with a two night stay in rooms next door to one another. We simply shifted after the first night and got a great deal! The rooms are comfortable and clean. If you're lucky, the owner's little... More

Like so many hotels that are converted from old buildings this one is more charming than comfortable. Our beds were up a flight of step, narrow stairs with the bathroom downstairs. The space was generous with a kitchen that would have been nice if we were staying longer. Whatever the place lacked in comfort was made up by the friendliness... More

I was pleased with this location, they really made it feel like home. They are located in Casco Antiguo near the Presidential palace so you definitely feel safe here. The bedding was comfortable but the rooms are a bit small. You have to be a traveler looking to commune in the common living room with other guest which I love... More
