We had a very ambitious vacation schedule cramming as much as possible into our short 3 day stay at this lovely property. The host were very accommodating of our late arrival and early departures by providing a "to go" breakfast the nights before. Also upgraded us from the room we booked just because the larger room wasn't booked. That was... More

What a special find! Our family of five spent nine days in Panama, based out of this magical boutique hotel in the heart of Casco Viejo. We had arranged many day trips to the jungle and islands and canal (through Xplora), but were so happy that we were based in the historic colonial city where we could experience the contrasting... We spent 3 nights at Casa Sucre in the loft apartment. If you are going to stay in Casco Viejo, this property is very centrally located to all the attractions plus it feels really safe due to the number of uniformed police officers and the design of the hotel. Casco Viejo can be somewhat loud during the late evening hours.... More

The location is in Casa Viejo, the old Panama City and is convenient to several historic sites which are in walking distance including the canal zone museum, the fish market, and a short taxi ride to the new Eco Museum. It is in an area where there is a lot of renovation of run down historic buildings. We stayed in... More

Went for afternoon coffee and snack. Coffee is excellent and the fruit plate was like your own personal fruit stand! The cafe had a wonderful character that fits in perfectly with casco viejo. Definitely recommend!

We stayed for three nights recently. Rich was very warm and welcoming and super helpful. He arranged a taxi to take us on a tour and the gentleman came back to take us to the airport. The breakfast at the cafe was included in our stay and we certainly looked forward to it each morning! We would absolutely stay here... More

We loved every aspect of our stay at Casa Sucre. Best of all was the incredible warmth and friendliness with which the hosts greeted us and shared with us throughout our extended stay in Panama. They were not only welcoming and accommodating for our stay with them, but they went far out of their way to help us arrange all... More

We stayed for three nights at Casa Sucre, and it was like staying with family. The owners were flexible (we changed our plans mutliple times leading up to the trip) and helpful and went above and beyond--Alyce even made us take her bug spray with us because she didn't want us to get bitten by sand flies on our trip... I spent a few days at Casa Sucre earlier this month, and i really felt at home. The place is beautifully decorated, the rooms are comfortable and have balconies. The owners have done an amazing job! I'd definitely come back (it was a pity that they were fully booked the last few nights of my stay in Panama, so make... More

Casa Sucre is located in the heart of colonial Panama City which was exactly what we wanted. The hosts are lovely and helpful and our daily breakfast in their coffee shop was great. But...there is a price to be paid by being centrally located. Our front door was located 2 feet from the main street and the evening noise was... More
