I have been there on a business trip to Panama. I spent 24 hours in the hotel, we had a special fee of 237USD the night and I can tell you that for that money I would have expected to have a decent service and nice facilities! 1) Very noisy bedrooms: After an 18 hours trip to Panama this is... more

The pictures of the hotel in the its website do not reflect how the hotel looks in real live. It is a 10 years old hotel with an old decoration. The Room Lighting is very poor. Hard to set the A/C The room was small and not clean. The bathroom had mold everywhere. The floor ( no carpet) was dirty... more

None of the negative experiences described by other travelers troubled my stay at the Miramar. The room was large, well-designed and spotlessly clean. I found the staff impressively bilingual, helpful and polite. The food, decor and facilities reflect international quality. Our business meeting allowed free wireless internet access, which was faster than anything I get at home. And the buffet... more

This hotel used to be on its own beside the ocean but now the city has built a fantastic combination park and extra access roads. It is a great hotel with a charming staff and rooms with great views. I would definatle recommend this for any travleers coming to Panama. The sunday brunch is to die for and they have... more

The hotel is on an "island" - meaning it was cut off from the main part of the area by two very busy streets. The only way to walk to the mall area or the boardwalk was to risk crossing fast moving traffic. Appararently, the city hasn't finished redoing the traffic signs in that area - really dangerous. Plus, we... more

My husband and I just returned from 2 nights at the Miramar. We are 4-5 star hotel junkies, and I have to disagree with the previous posts. It's a solid 4 star hotel. I do agree that there is a smell of mold throughout the place, and that the staff at the pool are not hustling at all. But otherwise,... more

I have been there at the edge of march and everything was perfect but after I left, I realized that they have frozen 400 dollars from my account. I wrote an e-mail to the hotel but until now I still have my money stopped on my account. I think I have to wait the expiring date (31 may 2009). I... more

All a chain hotel can offer. Apart from being on the expensive side (most hotels in Panama City are) it offers all you can expect from an Interconti. The only very annoying thing is to have to pay U$ 15 to access wireless internet at the hotel for 24 hours. Outrageous! more
