My wife and I stay here our first two days in Panama City. The location is safe and close to the new Metro system although there isn't a lot to do near the hotel. The staff were friendly and spoke English, and they worked with a very profession taxi service for our transport to and from the airport. Overall it's... More

Baru Lodge was a great place: it is a good, quiet location; the room is really nice; breakfast was good; the backyard is a pleasant place to sit and read. I thought this was excellent value for the cost. When you’re not familiar with Panama City, it may seem as if it’s located out-of-the-way, but it is not. A metro... More

I only stayed one night here, but the price was extremely reasonable given how nice the accommodations were and how good the breakfast was. It's a beautiful place. I got in rather late and the woman at the front desk ordered me a pizza when I asked about finding some dinner.

My favorite part of the hotel is the garden courtyard area with relaxing seating and plenty of birds to watch there. The breakfast is a pretty standard continental breakfast (fruit, yogurt, bread, eggs, coffee/tea/juice. The room we were in was on the small side, but met all of our needs, with AC, tv, comfortable bed, nice shower, etc. The rooms... More

PROS: Nice lodge. Clean. Seems secure. Decent area. CONS: Biggest had to do with management decisions. First, my brother specifically reserved a 3 bed room. This was a hard thing to find, and was one of the main reasons we came to Baru. On arrival, we realized the room had a pair of queen beds. Lady at desk apologized, and... More

Dear Guest. We truly sorry for the inconvenience that may have been presented, descriptions of our rooms are easy to find on the web and all show that we only have bedrooms with one or two queen size beds, however doing a review on the description of the rooms offered in one of the web sites, we are agree that... Stayed here for 1 night. Room had two queen beds, clean, airco, good shower, quiet. Breakfast ok. You can walk to a street with restaurants and staff can give you advice. For other locations you need a taxi (or public transport, but we did'nt try that). Staff is helpful. But don't ask for a taxi, because then you risk waiting... More

We had a great time at Baru Lodge, Erwin was very helpful & accommodating. The room was simple but clean, smart & very quiet. We really enjoyed eating breakfast in the courtyard each morning & loved the location, only a stones throw away from the metro so it was easy to explore the city. Our only feedback is that the... I would definitely choose to stay at Baru Lodge if I was ever in Panama City again. What I loved most was the location. It is on a residential street just 2 blocks away from a metro station. That meant I could get around the city very easily. (The metro is brand new, so it's very clean, plus also cheap... More

We spent two nights here going to and coming back from Bocas del Toro. Both times we arrived at night and left early morn. The rooms are very pretty and clean with air conditioning. The hotel was close to both of the airports we needed. The staff members were very nice and offered to get taxis, etc. I liked the... More
