Great quiet little oasis in otherwise busy Managua. Peaceful mornings with bird song and peal of cathedral bells. We visited twice during a long filming trip and each time felt like a restful break, a brief refuge. Nice little grounds filled with plants with very friendly and attentive staff. Good little breakfasts laid on as well. Nice coffee.

This is a great budget hotel in the center of Managua, we truly enjoyed the peaceful ambience and cleanliness of the rooms and grounds. Only included breakfast was available in the restaurant but was quite adequate, eggs made to order each morning. We were especially impressed with Gisele at the front desk who went out of her way to ensure... More

We have stayed here on numerous occasions and enjoyed the facilities offered that allowed us to relax, as well as share with friends. The hotel is within concrete walls with a gate and guard. We have always felt safe and our privacy respected. Breakfast is basically the same every day, but it is plentiful and included, which is a big... More

We found El Almendro when looking for a small hotel close to Hotel Intercontinental and Metro Center shopping mall. It was a 10-15 minute walk through a safe neighborhood, although you do have to cross busy Carretera Masaya (we always did so at a traffic light!). The hotel is very close to the excellent Hispamer Bookstore, which also houses Café... More

We styaed here our last night in Nicaragua. It is a very nice place well walled in from the small outside streets.Though very central located in new Managua with 10-15 min walk to commercial centre, supermarked and many good restaurants. Drive to airport is about 40 minutes (negotiaable 3-500 cordobas with taxi). Clean rooms. Good A/C. Nice small pool. Internett... More

Spotless, well appointed, friendly. Excellent value for Managua. Booking.com messed up our reservation but El Almendro just quietly made it right with no fanfare. My 11-year-old loved the pool (small but helped us beat the heat of Managua). The courtyards and rooms are really lovely, a little oasis of luxury in a gritty capital. Around the corner, steps away, is... More

I stayed here twice, at the beginning and end of my trip, for a total of 4 nights in three different rooms. I really enjoyed my time there, and would definitely stay at this hotel again. It's an excellent choice for those who want a place with amenities and service, but prefer a smaller, more boutiqe experience over a generic... More

Upon arriving we were greeted by the night security who opens the gate and lets you in to a secure parking area. The staff is pleasant and willing to help in anyway possible. Very informative of the surrounding area. The room we stayed in was clean with fresh sheets, clean dishes, well stocked bathroom. Every morning we went down to... More

This is a very nice clean hotel. They have AC but it takes a little while to cool down The bathroom was large and offers you the room to spread your stuff out on the counter. You don't have to live out of a bag We also had a small kitchen and a refrigerator that was actually too cold. It... More

Great for family, it offers suites with kitchen if needed. Clean, safe, kind staff Breakfast was only ok, not very generous or imaginative Beds, comfy enough , quiet enough. Their queens are only doubles. Pool is teeny tiny. Close to malls which is good. I'd stay again, Knowing now what to expect. Well priced for what it offers.
