Bedbug bites all over my arms and legs. It was dark in the tiny cabin when I checked in and I was tired from my flight so I didn't notice the bugs when I pulled down the covers. I was awakened by noise from the many comings and goings at all hours but didn't notice the bites till morning. This... more

For $90 you can get a fine hotel in Nicaragua. It isn't here! My room was bug infested and in a wooden cabin. No hot water. All night long a crowd of screaming and drunk tourists were checking in and out with free vouchers from the airlines. The airport is very near which is OK for an early flight but... more

I stayed here for 1 night , at the end of my vacation, because I had a 6:00 am flight the next day. The best thing about it is the location right across the street from the airport. I checked in the hotel in the early evening, then dropped my rental car off at the airport and walked back over... more

Easy fast checkin , they honor reservations even when they are full with waiting customers which is not always the case in C.A.Food is good ,wake up call ontime ,24/7 free internet in the business center, lots of nic nacks to buy before you get on a plane. Sheets could use replacing but it is not The Ritz Carlton. The layout... more

We stayed here as our plane arrived in Managua in the evening. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the airport. The birds found on the hotel grounds were great. Ferruginous Pygmy-owls were calling, Turquoise-browed Motmots were near the tennis courts, Hoffmann's Woodpeckers calling, 4 species of orioles in one tree... more

So, the location is super for an over night stay since it is right across the street from the Managua airport. It's a big hotel with pools and etc. However, my 3 roomates and I ended up sleeping on the hotel floor because we came across swarm of bed bugs in the middle of the night. It was DISGUSTING. I... more

We stayed here for one night before our departure from Nicaragua and after our one week stay at Hotel Vistamar (see our review of that hotel also). We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it. We booked on-line on the Best Western site. The front desk personnel were very efficient, pleasant and helpful. Upon your check-out, you can literally walk... more

I recently stayed at the Best Western, which was more like the Worst Western. As some reviews have said, the grounds are beautiful, the food (especially the breakfast) is pretty good, and is certainly very convenient for an early morning flight out of Managua. But these positive aspects were FAR outweighed by what the rooms were like. Our first night... more

Why didn't they install window screens??? Lots of mosquitoes, and hordes of ants. Did not have this problem at the Hilton or Seminole. Staff was kind of surly, I did appreciate the beautiful grounds, 2 swimming pools and proximity to the airport. I guess it is ok for one night, but not a luxury hotel by any means. more

My husband and I have been staying at Las Mercedes for three years on our way into and out of Nicaragua. At first we just loved the convenient of being able to walk across the street to the airport. Now with two years of renovations completed, Las Mercedes is still our favorite in Managua. The air conditioners are quiet and... more
