I have stayed at most of the nice hotels in Managua. This is my favorite by far. The only time I don't stay at the Contempo is when I don't have to go into Managua from the airport. Four things stand out, the style, the food, they pick you up at the airport and they have great bath tubs. If... More

This hotel has only about 24 rooms, and every one is different. The rooms range from ultra modern to contemporary to classic, The restaurant has a small menu, but there is a great variety. If you want to try Nicaraguan cuisine, there are many plates to choose from. The Chateaubriand is an excellent choice. Be sure to ask about the... More

We have chosen this hotel as a quiet place in the city, close to Masaya and Managua (on the carretera Masaya). During the day we were out on business/work outside of Managua and this was an excellent location for us. It is a boutique type hotel, the room was very nice, staff friendly (and they also spoke English) and the... More

Clean, slick modern with Japanese flair, the Contempo is a welcome sight amidst the chaos that is Managua. We were hungry and stuck in the awful Santo Domingo traffic when we saw the Contempo sign. We decided to try their restaurant, Azul. The restaurant is beautifully designed, light airy bright. The staff was pleasant.

We stayed at Hotel Contempo for one night before leaving Nicaragua. The hotel is modern and looked like it was primarily used by the business community, but the staff could not have been more welcoming to our family (3 kids). Every staff member we encountered was so pleasant and helpful and everyone spoke English. What really sold me on this... More

Close enough to the airport to be convient but far enough away from city area. Felt safe and the staff was great. Helped grab transports to the airport a few times. Stayed in two different rooms (arriving in Managua and then on the way home before an early flight). Restaurant staff was great as well. Car transport waiting when we... More

The hotel is the only modern boutique hotel in the city, and has great style (especially in the restaurant where great dinners and free breakfasts are served). The service is good and since airport transfer is normally included, why even consider staying at the unappealing Camino Real or Best Western? Massages are also affordably priced. We always stay here if... More
