We had a lovely room looking out over the beautiful yard. Quiet, restful, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Clean, tiled, full-size pool. Tasty breakfast on the patio with many birds in the huge fig tree. The common areas are decorated with Mayan-style artifacts. Great value!!

We stayed for 1 night in Villa Maya. It's a beautiful villa and very nice decorated. The neighborhood is very quiet. Unfornately it looked like someone working in the hotel had a private party in the garden next to the pool, with some girlfriends. They talked loudly an laughed a lot until 5 am even in the lobby so we... More

We really enjoyed staying at this property which is run by a lovely family and we felt as guests in their home as opposed to a hotel . Breakfast is serene and choices are plentiful .And they do serve drinks and light meals in to the early evening. The location is very residential ....quiet and surrounded by embassy homes which... Small rooms, and be careful with the one downstairs and for one person, it does not have view, and has the problem that faces a hall where other guests stay late night, which would not let you sleep. Not really close to restaurants or places, you will need ground transportation to get around.

We stayed there 2 nights, one night before flying to Corn Islands and the night before returning to Canada. Staff was very helpful as we had early flights so they had to wake up and let us out of the hotel as it is locked at night. Also, where we showed up late to check in, they let us order... More

We had an unhappy experience here. We had reserved a specific room, the only one with a bath tub(which I needed for medical reasons), four months in advance. When we arrived, we were required to pay in advance for all nights we would be there, and before we saw our room. When we saw it, we immediately said, This is... More

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip - you cannot do better in Managua. Gorgeous secret garden patio for breakfast and dinner. And you cannot beat the birdsong in the morning. Rooms have good A/C, lovely balcony, hot showers. Breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner they prepared for me late upon my arrival. Managua is a... More

This is the perfect hotel if you want to stay a bit outside of the city-center. The gardens are very very beautful with lots of different flowers and a large pool. The interesting architecture gives room for beautiful paintings, masks and lots of different art-work. If you need to relax from work or an exhausting trip - this is the... More

I stayed at Villa Maya because I had an early flight out of Managua. I chose correctly! Located in a walled compound in one of the better neighborhoods in Managua, this restored colonial home just oozes charm. From the beautiful pool to the well-kept gardens and pre-Columbian artifacts on display in the lobby, this hotel has much to offer. My... More

An old converted mansion, the hotel is a quiet little oasis in Managua. The hotel seems removed from everything in Managua, but it's not that far if you want to go into Managua to sightsee. (there isn't much there folks!) If you are looking to use it as a base to explore Masaya and beyond, it's a good location. The... More
