We stay here every year on our way in and out for a mission trip up north. They will bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Desayuno (breakfast) can be a fruit plate or traditional Nicaraguan (love them both). With both a/c and hot water (via widow-makers) this is a very comfortable stay that still is true Nicaragua. Highly... More

We booked La Posadita de Bolonia for 2 nights while we acclimated to Nicaragua before traveling to San Juan del Sur for a language immersion program. Francisca was so kind and patient with our Spanish. (She'd be great at charades.) Ask about getting a tour of Managua with Camillo. He was a poli sci major and is very knowledgable and... More

The reason why me and my friend have chosen La Posadita de Bolonia was the fact that it's located just short taxi drive away from Tica Bus station. As we've later found it's also next to president's residence with plenty of police/security around in quiet neighbourhood. The room we were given was massive with 2 double and 1 single bed... More

We stayed on room #7, across the entrance and it was an awful experience. There is no curtain just vertical blinds. Some parts/pieces are missing. We could see the patio where guests hang out and light coming though all night. We had no privacy and no sleep. The bathroom was dated and in need of maintenance. Shower head is electric... More

My wife and I stayed two nights total at La Posadita: the night we flew into Nicaragua and the night before we left. It can be tough to decide where will be stress free, safe, and nice to stay in Managua before heading out to explore the country, and I can promise that this hotel is all the above. On... More

(Family-owned) This cozy and welcoming B&B is your best choice when traveling to Nicaragua. They have airport pickup/dropoff (fee), A/C & hot water, deliscious homemade breakfast and, best of all FREE WIFI. In addition, if you don't wanna go out for dinner, ask the attending about their dinner options. Personnel is extremely friendly, accomodating and trustworthy. Sandra, the owner, is... More

I stayed here because it was close to Vision Mundial through which I was visiting my sponsored child. The location was close to whatever you needed. Very safe area & very quiet with no traffic. The rooms were very clean with A/C & hot showers. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, coffee, tea, beans & rice, toast &... More

Staying here is like being at home!!! This is a family-own B&B, which means you'll be treated like family ;) This is one of the most affordable place in Managua. In addition, its location may be one of the safest in Managua because the hotel is literally 3 blocks from the Presidents main residence... security 24/7, 365 days :) Staff... More

We like to stay where the locals stay when we travel, so this hotel suited us just fine. It is small, quite private, yet is only a few blocks from a major bus station (Tica Bus). The garden cafe was where they served our (free) breakfast, cooked to order - pancakes, "gallo pinto" (Nicaragua version of riceandbeans). eggs, or whatever... More

We stayed for four nights in a job trip. The service and the personnel are very friendly and always at your disposal with a good smile on their face at all time. Unfortunately, we had a considerable amount of money stolen from the room directly. In dealing with the situation we spoke with Sandra, the owner, and she asked us... More
