I truly felt at home! Ivan and the other staff were superb, friendly, helpful, bending over backward to please! The dining room could have been better ventilated so the kitchen smells were not so strong. This place had a comfortable and somewhat elegant lobby where friends could relax while chatting with me. This is a great place to stay, near... More

arrived early evening after a long bus trip: room was very clean, comfortable and quiet... needed to use internet and could not access it in my room; front desk staff turned over heaven and earth to help me get connected. breakfast buffet simple but very adequate. for quick dinner, local bodegas have wonderful al fresco eating; ask the staff for... The staff of the hotel is amazing. Everyone is really professional from the reception desk to the security guard... Ivan was a great member of staff too and was very helpful and professional. We had two room (number 11 i think). It was a large room with 2 double beds, the shower was a bit poor. You could see the... More

Staying only one night and traveling with a group may not allow an in depth experience of a hotel, but our first taste of Alicante Hotel was quite pleasant. The room was small by US standards but clean and comfortable. The patio and small pool was a tropical walled garden. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We arrived at this hotel late in the day so I didn't see much of it as we only stayed over night. I traveled with a tour group so don't know the price of the room. The lobby was small, but nice and there was a nice sized dining room where we had an included breakfast. My room had two... More

I had a great stay at Alicante. The neighborhood is a bit removed from downtown, which can be both a plus and a minus. But it's next to one of their main universities (The UCA) and in a good neighborhood. Also no bus lines pass on the street, so the street is much more quiet than I would expect. The... More

I stayed at the Alicante for the first night of an OAT tour and was glad to be gone after one night. The hotel is isolated in a residental area that is not convenient to the main sights downtown. The interior is very outdated and has an overall shabby appearance: old furniture, worn upholstery, etc. My room was small, the... More

This hotel is small and intimate with a great view of the City. -- I was here at the cooler time of year -- about 90 degrees in the day and 75ish at night.. I was most delighted that I could safely open the windows in my third floor room and not have to use air conditioning. the food was... More

The rooms here are clean, efficient, and with a good lock on the door. The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel restaurant fits the bill. It's a great place to land in Central America to start a trip of any duration. The blonde manager, a woman whose name I missed, could not have been kinder or more patient... More
