We stayed in room 9 which is right by reception. It was just a tiny bit wider than a double bed. Thankfully there was a private bathroom and a small amount of space for bags etc. Patio area was small and very enclosed, not amazing. Hotal staff were really helpful, we were getting a Tica bus very early and they... More

We stayed at Ximena's for two nights, mainly just to break up the travel from Guatemala to Nicaragua. The location is nice as it is in a safe area, which is probably its largest benefit. We stayed in the private room with private bath, which was a nice size, and it was a surprise that they had hot water. However... More

We stayed for two nights, in a private double room. The hotel was located just off Boulevard los Heroes, and in a safe residential neighbourhood. It was very convenient for buses and the large mall. The owner, Lena, was also very helpful with information on places to see, transport, etc. The rooms were overall adequate and relatively clean, but the... More

Sure, prices are listed, along with the amenities, but this place comes with petty and quite ridiculous charges on the backend of your reservation. They charge $5 for use of a locker in one of the world's most dangerous cities. Hostels offer this to give their patrons peace of mind during their stay in communal settings. There is no functioning... More

Norwegian owner Lena provides guests with a hot shower, kitchen, lots of easy transport connections, large dining room are for groups, and it is quiet. The area is very safe and almost right across from the Metrocentro mall, cinema, and restaurant complex. The owner is also very helpful at organizing transport in and out of the city as well as... We stayed at Ximena's for 2 nights in a private room with a private bathroom. Accommodations were relatively expensive in San Salvador according to our research. I think we paid $20 a night and that was the cheapest we could find. The room was fine, but not well taken care of, the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was very... More

Stayed for one night on our way to Honduras. Room was ok size & clean & good comfy bed with a nice clean on suite bathroom. Our room was the nearest to reception but was quiet at night & we did not get disturbed at all. You would not know you were in a capital city from the location it... More

Nice guesthouse in a good safe location close to the bus station. We were upgraded to a better room, but there were issues with the bathroom flooding from the rain. There were also long black hairs on the 'fresh' towels. The shuttle we organised through the guesthouse was good once we got in it, we were told to wait from... More

we were coming from Suchitoto and next morning we were leaving to NIcaragua, so we just wanted a place to take a shower, find some dinner, some sleep and get some info about the shuttle to Nicaragua. We spent half an hour to find it, following their webpage instructions and we are fluent in Spanish. The host we met had... More

Stayed here for only one night while I was passing through El Salvador. The place is a little difficult to find so make sure you have a good map/directions. The staff tried their best to help me although we did have some trouble communicating due to language barriers. The staff eventually called up Lena who helped me talk to them... More
