Ukraine is a fascinating country, and Kyiv is a great city. That said, there are still some issues for tourism in the country. They still seem stuck between capitalism and communism-- the attention given to "customer service" is still spotty. Sometimes, with younger workers, you get people who seem to understand that their job is to help; other times you... More

Went here for a stag do - was very cheap and cheerful but we got what we paid for. Staff were ok but not overly attentive. Breakfast was better than we expected. Not a place you would want to stay for a long time but as somewhere to get your head down and wash it is fine. More

I usually stay at this Hotel in Kiev when downtown hotels are fully booked. Bratislava hotel is relatively far from the city center on the left bank of the Dnepr river. You need to take either a taxi or Metro (Darnitsa station) to get to it. If you take metro, you can actually see the hotel and walk is just... More

My partner and I stayed here on a business trip, and short break, this being our first trip to the Ukraine we decided to combine both business and sightseeings with a trip to Chernobyl. The hotel is typical eastern block with heavy communist influences but quite characterful in its own way. Its location is not close to the center of... More

Kiev is hard to lodge. For hotels you have 2 options: - old soviet block-style hotel, with hopefully renovated rooms around $100 - 5 stars hotels around $500 Our company did not pay for the $500 so we were staying in Hotel Bratislava. Actually it wasn't that bad that I expected and as bad as it looks like from outside.... More

I stayed here with a large group. The rooms have been renovated and are nice. There are not many amentities at this hotel, no business center. The staff speaks English and are friendly. There's a currency exchange in the lobby, two restaurants on site. It's a good hotel if you want a CLEAN room but aren't looking for a hotel... More
