The nice thing about the Dnipro hotel is the location. That being said, the rooms are tiny and very expensive. From what I could gather hotels in general are expensive in Kiev . Other than that I agree 100% with Marie060's review on August 27th. (I must have been there at the same time). Yes, it did seem that everyone... more

We stayed at the Dnipro for the first two nights of a week-long visit to Ukraine, travelling with my partner and her mother (her cousin was also supposed to there, but was stuck in Houston due to some guy called Ike). Given the previous reviews on this site, I was hesistant about making the booking, but the Hyatt, Radisson etc... more

U.S. Visitor My daughter and I just returned from a three day stay at the Dnipro over Ukraine's Independence three day holiday weekend. First the good- the location of the Dnipro puts you at the end of Khreschatyk Street putting you within walking distance of Independence Square, restaurants, shopping, and tourist sites. Its even a down hill walk to the... more

This large hotel is right in the centre of Kiev. I was staying there on a business trip. On my last trip to Ukraine I stayed at the charming little Sunflower Hotel which is really a B&B - but the poor breakfasts there made us look for something more mainstream. The public areas of the Hotel Dnipro- reception/lobby/cafe - are... more

The cost of this room was 110 euro. So, the good points. Common areas and location quite good - not great but good enough. Bad points- rude staff, expensive, Soviet hostel like rooms, 4 euro for 30 mins wi fi in room, 120 euro for three hour tour, 9 euro for roll and coffee in cafe. Scam, scam, scam!!!! more

I stayed at this large hotel overlooking the Dnipro river in March 2008. I paid 110 euros. It has a great location right in the center of Kiev. The room was very small and would not have worked for two people (unless you're very intimate), but perfect for me because I was traveling alone. The lobby and "Panaorama" restaurant on... more

This just might be the worst hotel Ive been to in my life, they fool you with the pictures on the internet of their single standard rooms, they make you pay before you even see the room, then you get shocked by how discusting and dirty it is. Dont be fooled by their site, it is a government hotel so... more

I would not advise you to go there for many reasons. But, for completeness, let me start with the few positive points. 1. It is very central, you can go on foot basically eveywhere in the town center. 2. The common places (hall, breakfast room etc) are quite nice and well kept. 3. Rooms and bathrooms are fairly large (BUT... more

Bad points: Very expensive and the hotel will overcharge you for everything - taxi, tours, restaurant etc. The 4 star rating is more due to the amenities they provide (slippers, tiny bottles of toiletries) than for the rooms themselves (the standard room was rather small). Noisy (but it is centrally located). Staff are cold but efficient (that may be cultural).... more

I will start with the not so good and end on a high note. The room we were in was on the 9th floor and was some type of basic level suite. It was spacious but very toasty!! Although the heat on full blast is common in Ukraine for most commercial and government buildings in winter. The bathroom had plenty... more
