The country in general is still suffering from the association with Russia, and its not unusual to see dilapidated cars, and horse drawn carts forming part of the rush hour traffic. The hotel however is an oasis in the midst of all this, very westernized with polite and helpful staff on hand. Tips for eating, don't try the local food... More

The hotel is overpriced as other people have said. But it's still a nice place - in a good location and the staff are friendly. They also arrange airport transfers at a competitive price. I'd stay again despite the price.

I stayed here for 1 night during Euro 2012. The hotel is fine but in my opinion overpriced for what it is. It may well be that the price was increased for Euro 2012. The hotel had everything you needed and was only a 10-15 minute stroll to the city and 20 minutes from the national football stadium. The breakfast... More

If you pay 180 euro per night, you shold not be charged an extra 1,50 euro for internet access in the room. The room was absolutely excellent, and the wiev over the city was fantastic. We stayed in 19th floor and the lift was not working, and stopped on 18, so we had to walk the last one up to... More

I can understand why a lot of ppl would give this hotel a bad review, but.... It;s not so bad. The location is awesome. The price was even better. We got a room with two small beds. Yes, rooms are old, outdated, non working tv, but we had bath/shower w toilet, enough towels for two people and a balcony with... More

This hotel had been booked for us, a married couple, by local friends. The wedding we were attending was nearby and the reception was to be held in this hotel. Confusion when we checked in - we were told two rooms had been booked! We took one - and discovered it appeared to be a single, albeit with a big... More

The old hotel from Soviet era. Very small rooms with old furniture. As been booked the standart room i need to change it to deluxe one due to the condition of first. For the price i paid you could get much better service in Kiev. Restoran is something you shouldn't try, there are dozens of a good places around.

The best thing about Hotel Kiev is it’s view over the park. If you get a room high enough, the vista of the horizon is absolutely stunning. But, because of its condition, it is outrageously overpriced. There is masking tape over the window frames, presumably to reduce the cold air. The carpet was filthy, there was blood on the bedspread... More

Breakfast was good. thee room was clean, but very small. front desk personnel - just terrible. they would not even bother to stop... More
