i was extremely pleased by the staff, they were very kind and always ready to help, they spoke fluent English as well. They even arranged me a cab to take me to my meetings, than to the airport and gave any information about the kiev, restaurants, places of interest etc. The room was clean, comfortable and very cozy. I liked... more

I stayed there for the weekend the accomodation was a short walk from the main kryshatyk but adequate a good breakfast and good facilities. The cost of hotels in Kiev amazes me i stay in London two star adequate for £59.00 all year and this is on a par. The room has no tea making in the rooms they seem... more

Rooms: see other reviews. Breakfast: horrible. The cheese looked more like putty. Even worse: it tasted like putty. Dinner: the chicken was dry and looked more like a shoe sole. Even worse: it tasted like one. more

Stayed for 3 night for a business trip. Location is okay, close to center and subway(but never used that since company arranged taxi for me). Hotel seems spending all the money to decorate lobby. Lobby looks quite nice, but as soon as you go into the room, time goes back to 80s or maybe even earlier time. Furniture looks like... more

You can get older (cheapest) rooms or newly renovated (western standards - fair rates) rooms. Lobby and common areas are beautifully renovated. Don't be offended by the very "assertive" working girls in the lobby bar after 9pm. more

Just got back, stayed 9-17-08 to 9-21-08, had no choice, was booked by my company's Ukrainian hosts. The lobby artificially raises your hopes that this is a nice place. Then you get to your room, where the carpet is 40 years old and dirty/stained, and you likely had nicer furniture in your college dorm or frat house. The bed is... more

As others have said, the President Hotel is a real throwback to the Communist era. From the outside it looks just like you would imagine a 1970s hotel to look like. Your hopes are raised by going into the lobby but these are soon dashed when you get to your room. Rooms are dark, really dated (but not in a... more
