I recently booked to stay at this hostel during the Euro 2012 football tournament. Had a confirmed booking via a well respected hotel booking website. Turned up and found that not only had this hostel vastly overcharged but even worse was unable to honour my booking - they had not kept the-room for me, had sold it.They agreed both verbally... It's cheap, within a short walk of the centre and quiet. Yes, it's not a four star hotel, but then it doesn't pretend to be. 250 hrvna will get a double for a night, or you can spend 2500 for luxury in the Radisson Blu. It does the trick as far as I'm concerned. Four stars for price/quality.

Kiev is not a place where cheap temporary accomodation is easily available especially not as close to the centre as the Old Kiev is. So if cheap and central is what you are looking for you may be happy with this place as a choice. When we visited the place there was a lot of building work going on and... More

Going to Kiev you realize most of the hotels are really overpriced, even more so before and during the Euro football championship I guess. Usually it's better to rent apartments which are much cheaper. The other option is to use some of the speciality lodging. For this reason we've decided to stay at Old Kiev. It also had a secure...
