The hotel is good all around but the best thing about my stay there was that it is in the heart of town - at the start of the central pedestrian zone, and close to the city's best cafes. Airport pick-up was also a very good option! more

I did remember the microscopic rooms of Balkan hotel a few years ago and, when I booked the room, I asked the receptionists to arrange a spacious room, which they did - I stayed at a nicely renovated room with soft colours, with an excellent bed. The location is central, the lounge bar is pleasant, but rooms are very-very small and uncomfortable. Central heating was on in the bathroom and could not be turned off. Rooms can be noisy from city traffic. The bed had a rather soft mattress which was not comfortable. On the plus side, they offer free internet connection. more

Good location and very nice view from the window. I was staying on the 5th floor and could see the river and bridges. I was on a business trip and enjoyed my stay in Belgrade. The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing and shopping. The staff at the Balkan were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff at the hotel restaurant were very attentive. Overall a pleasant stay. more

Nice room, modern decoration, very clean (maybe apart form the carpet) , large TV, good sevice. I stayed there during a business trip , and then I moved due to low availability to MOSKVA. I really missed the days i spent on Balkan Hotel. Staff was very kind and helpfull. more

When the cab driver pulls up do not despair -- there is cutture and class in there. The lobby will confuse you -- about the size of a small shop on the bloc -- one thinks "Is this is going to be ok." No sweat -- it is. Of course it has a small elevator this is Europe remember but... more

Stayed here for a business trip and loved it - rooms are a little on the small side, but are really clean and modern. Bathroom was tiny. Location is great (literally in the center of Belgrade). Also, excellent value for money when compared to other hotels in Belgrade which are far inferior to this hotel. more

The hotel apparently just received its 4 star. For the ones who remember and stayed at the old hotel it is of course a huge improvement. Now, I had the doubtful pleasure of spending two nights early in December 2006. Due to the temperament of the average Serbian driver it made room on the first floor a very noisy one.... more
