5 nights here at Easter. Location is wonderful - classy street right in the city centre; most things of interest within walking distance. As there is no metro and the buses are a challenge if you understand no Serbian this is a big plus. Free transfers to/from airport are included in room rate as is breakfast, which is served in... more

Stayed at the Palas the last weekend of the year. This is by far the best small hotel we (couple) have stayed. The location is the best in Belgrade, service impeccable and room (A1) spacious, modern, and comfortable. Bathroom was simply amazing. Included in the price is an a la carte breakfast, transportation to and from the hotel (and not... more

Stayed for a couple of nights on business. Not sure about five stars - for example the lobby is small and darkish, with no-one to help with bags - but it's certainly the best in Belgrade. Suites are comfortable if a bit over-done, but that may just be Serbian style. Certainly the bathroom was over-the-top, with one of those sauna/steam... more

I stayed at Aleksandar Palace for 4 nights in July while on business trip. It's one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, with all the rooms being suites and nicely decorated. There are 2 flat screen TV's in the room - 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the front room. There're about 70 satellite TV channels to... more

I was absolutely amazed by the hotel that I hadn't even noticed during my previous stays in Belgrade. From now on, this is my top destination, despite the price. Extremely tidy room, almost overdone with everything, but my favourite was the bathroom and its shower that switches to Turkish baths in minutes. I had a tiny gym on my floor,... more

I was a little anxious before coming to Nis as I had heard some not-so-good reviews of the hotel Aleksandar (e.g. that the rooms were really small). Fortunately enough, this was not true in my case, as I was acommodated in a largish suite on the 2nd floor, with a nice view of the city below (the hotel is on... more

We loved this upmarket hotel, only nine rooms - all suites. Reception staff all have excellent English. They collect and return to airport. Location in excellent proximity to Kallangarden and shopping precinct but excellent double glazing means no external noise. Spent a lazy and enjoyable rainy Sunday in Que Pasa restaurant/bar which is part of the hotel and seems to... more

The best place to stay in Belgrade and the only boutique hotel in town (Le Petit Piaf is close, but more like a night club than sleeping establishment). Located slap bang in the middle of the historic quarter just yards away from the main (only!) shopping district and tourist sites. This is a classy place and, in my opinion, much... more

I used to think that the Hyatt was the best bet for a hotel in Belgrade. That was before I stayed at the Aleksander Palas Hotel. Yes, the Hyatt offers all of the services you would expect from a major hotel, but the APH just has too many other advantages First, the APH is smack dab in the middle of... more
