Dark. Very dark and old fashion. That's the first thought jumping up on my mind everytime I went there and the only thing that keeps impressed in my mind. Personnel not particularly friendly, I expected something more from an hotel of that size and importance. The time has been stopped at the 70's: furnitures, paintings, rooms, facilities, "swimming pool", hall...... more

Continental (former Intercontinental) Hotel Beograd (Belgrade), Serbia Vladimira Popovica 10 Phone 38-1113-113333 Fax 38-1113-111402 This business class property is a large glass box (with windows that open!) located about 2 km from the old town center, in a modern business and conference park. The bus stop (located in front of the nearby Hyatt Hotel) is a 5-10 minute walk away.... more

Stayed here for a couple of days last March and then again for two weeks in May. This hotel looks as if it was state of the art back in 1995 but needs a little overhaul now. The rooms are functional and fairly typical of anything you'd find in North America except veering towards the tatty. The staff are fairly... more

What a dark, dingy hotel. That's only looking from the outside. Needs a refurbish badly. Luckily, only stayed 1nt before flying out next morning. Check-in was ok, staff don't smile, can see why, just as dark and dingy inside. Front foyer they have seating area were you can smoke, so the hotel smelled musty. Enter the elevators, you can smell... more

This hotel is over-priced, and out-dated. The decor was old, and the rooms were not that nice, especially for the price. The decor was fine in the 1970's but not now. The staff were nice, without being over friendly. Also, the hotel is nowhere near the city centre. Its located in a business area accross the river from the city.... more

Stood there one night for business. Location is on the business side of the river, next to the Hyatt. 5 stars, but local stars I guess. Unfriendly reception, passport kept at least 30 minutes in best cold war style, room straight from the 70s, all brown, but spacious. Highlight was water pouring from the room above when the occupant took... more

Overpriced, musty, old hotel that is dire need of a facelift and renovation. Not good value for money. Not recommended. more

It is an imposing large hotel with a lobby reminiscent of an airport terminal, 1980s, style. Apart from the great buffet breakfast and the large size of room, the hotel does not at all live up to the 5 stars it claims to have and the Intercontinental brand. If you want to get to town, walking is out of the... more

we decided to stay here because of the 'room controlled aircon system'. It leaves a lot to be desired so don't be fooled - it does not work and you will find yourself hanging around the reception area to cool down. Engineers were called to our room but there was nothing that could be done as the thermostat is centrally... more

The Intercontinental in Belgrade isn't all bad. It's definitely serviceable. The rooms are nice enough and quiet, and you can get a good hamburger at three in the morning. Overall, though, for a hotel that wants to give itself five stars, it leaves a lot to be desired. Most egregious is the architecture. The building is a glass-and-metal travesty with... more
