I stayed a couple of times at the Venezia during my stay in Bucharest, and it's not that bad in the great scheme of things, but I still think a wee bit pricey for what you get. The people were on the whole pretty friendly, especially the guy that sold me the DVD of 4 months, 3 weeks and 2... more

After a disasterous booking with Alpharooms who had allowed us to book into the Lev O'r we rebooked into the Venezia. The Casa Popularii or people's palace is a few minutes away and downtown Bucharest is a ten minute stroll. One of Bucharest's most famous parks is just to the left of it. So the location is good. The food... more

Nice little Hotel with a good location, staff were friendly which is rare in Bucharest. Only negative points were rooms were quite small, hair around the edges of the bathroom and only one small beer in the mini bar. Breakfast was excellent. more

the hotel is good and the staff were 1st class. There is nothing to do in the area. From what I could tell, there isnt much of anything to do in the whole Bucharest either. Bucharest is about as 'east' as i'd like to get. For a holiday maker, Bucharest is a dull place to visit, and I would head... more

I stayed 4 nights with colleagues during a work trip. The hotel is clean with tasteful traditional design, loosely themed on the Venetian Carnival. We were all assigned non-smoking rooms, followed by the smiling remark: "But you may smoke, if you like", which left the non-smokers amongst us rather irritated. Since we had requested quiet rooms we got lucky and... more

This hotel is about 15 mins walk from the city centre but trams travel here every five minutes. The rooms are spacious all refurbished with TV (with english speaking channels!) and mini bar (a bit pricey). We booked through Hotel.com and paid about £50 for the room with breakfast - buffet style served in the lobby area, which offered a... more

Just returned from Bucharest. Spent months trawling websites and studying hotel locations, prices, standards etc. Wanted hotel in city centre within easy reach of attractions, with 24 hour front desk and breakfast included. Found Hotel Venezia fitted the bill and trawled websites to find cheapest deal. all-bucharest-hotels.com was the best site - £260 for four nights. Booked on the hotel's... more

Venezia Hotel is a recently renovated one, located in an excellent old building. I was there for professional reasons and I plan to go back soon. Good rooms, very clean, confortable bathroom, very friendly staff and free internet access in all rooms are priviledges for the hotel The small lobby places could be a problem, especially if you plan to... more
