Probably the oldest restaurant & hotel in Bucharest, I ate there. The service was flawless, so was the food. The ambiance is of the 19 century. Very classy and not too expensive. Cannot quite understand why we were the only clients there when we visited. I can only hope that they have busier weekends.

I stayed at this hotel only one night, and I found what I had expected: A very beautiful room and bathroom decoration. The room was warm and clean, and the decoration was just same as the ones shown in the photos, no disappointment! On the other hand, although this is a 5 star hotel, nobody helped me to carry my... We have not stayed at the hotel, so my review is about the restaurant and the Café, having known them both pretty well. We've been to Bucharest quite a few times, and if you learn some history of the city, you definitely would like to sit down here, for the place opened in the last quarter of the XIXth century... After seeing some of the mixed reviews for this hotel, I thought I would add something about my recent stay over the New Year period in 2014/15. This hotel is excellent, the room I had was very clean and had a large with a king sized bed. The bathroom had a bath with shower and good water pressure with lots... More

I had a 3 nights reservation but i refused to stay there as the place is very dirty and smelly. I wonder how this miserable place has got it's 5 * when it's not worth even 2. I woyld close it immediatelly for a thorough cleaning. Arrogant staff makes it even a worse experience. Will definitely avoid in the future...

I stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. The hotel has a great interior which sends you in the end of XIX century. You'll feel great. We enjoyed the parking which was just at the door of the hotel and the good price for the quality. There is placec for some improvements on the service and in the... More

Everything here is solid wood. The hotel gives you a special feeling of luxury. Architecture and interior design is in the style of the Louvre. It is fixed in the center of Bucharest and you have almost anything you need. For a 5 star hotel the price is absolutely ok, around 80 euros per night. This hotel is in my opinion... More

The hotel is nice, the rooms have a great size and are keept clean and in old style. Where as the hotel is nice and the overall standard is good, the service is poor.. In the breakfast, there are no buffet, but you need to order what you want from a waiter, if you can get in hold of one,... More

This is no longer the cultural hot spot that it was back in its heyday before the war. But it's centrally located and I spent a very pleasant evening tucked up here on a dark and stormy night. The afternoon tea and pastry were pleasant. In the evening, we ate in the hotel restaurant where my colleague ordered a platter... More

Stayed here one night, a local travel agent reserved it for me after other well known hotels were booked. It is in a famous building where authors and poets gathered in the 1930s. Check in was easy, the interior architecture is very nice. My room was adequate, large double room, nicely decorated, but I was bothered by the rusty, brownish... More
