If you value location & price then certainly consider this hotel, though I wouldn't recommend it to people who like a perfect finish as it is a bit tatty with creaky floorboards. On a busy roundabout so traffic noise can be disturbing - ask to avoid a room facing the front. Also of note is the rather stroppy breakfast lady... More

I booked a room for five nights with my brother. The location is superb, near public transport and a short walk from old town. The room was like an apartment, with tv, mini bar, and airco (it was 33 degrees outside so this was very welcome!) For breakfast you had five options, cooked by mutti on demand. Our only problem... This hotel is a nice spot with some nice places to visit around it. There is a really cool restaurant near-by (pretty touristy) where they have nightly traditional singing/dancing and that was really fun. Picture of part of the menu attached and a picture of the singing/dancing. The rooms in the hotel are bare-bones and the beds are really, really... More

Room was very large and pretty clean. Its one of those places where I can understand why people give it 1 star rating whilst others give it 5. Its pretty clean but people need to understand that its an old hotel so isnt going to be the same standard as a modern Novotel etc. I thought the 2* rating of... More

It's a beautiful building near the downtown. It's very clean, quiet and warm. The staff is very helpful. The rooms include a large bedroom, a large bathroom and a beautiful living room!

Hotel Banat is a buget hotel right in the center of the town.I stay for 2 days and find out that the rooms are sunny old fashion furniture but very clean. The stuff from reception was friendly . The only problems was the trafic from outside and the noise made by the cars. I would recomand this hotel for short... More

Apart from almost falling appart on itself , it has a 100 year old elevator that goes only between the 1st floor to the 4th, the rooms are small and smell funny, and the floor cracks at every step you take. The bathrooms I don't even want to mention... The only good thing about it is that its very central,... More

The hotel was a very good deal for spending two nights in Bucharest. Located as centrally as possible (just off the University Square), but pretty quiet. Not over-equipped, but charming. I wouldn't recommend it to people who expect luxury -- and there are a couple of voices around on it needing a renovation. To me, the hotel being that old... More

This is a place where you would, eventually, enjoy staying over a night, but there are, however, a couple of things that left a bad taste in my mouth. 1) The site is real old, and NEEDS a restoration, the faster the better: everything kind of tumbles. 2) The fee they charge is way above the services they offer --... Although it was very old, it was so lovely and had a charm all it's own. The staff were absolutely wonderful, the apartment spacious and clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered was really nice. Very enjoyable indeed.
