went here for a birthday trip with my friends, the location is perfect for the city centre and everything is within walking distance, the Hotel itself is as run down as you can get the toilet wobbles when you sit on it and the mini fridge looks like it should be kept at beamish also the rooms are smoking so... Its a nice hotel, very reasonably priced.Functional, but clean and warm room with a helpful staff.More importantly, its located in walking distance to the historic city center attractions, and also the main bus stop connecting to the bus stop (bus 783).Highly recommended for budget travellers

Very good value central hotel. Not the most modern, but clean and the rooms are very big. Excellent for the price. The bar/cafe/restaurant next door, which may actually be part of the hotel, is also well worth a visit.

Very good location, old hotle, bad smell, needs several renovation.I was afraid to use elevator. At the same time, very good price for city center, right next to Piata Universitatii. I recommend only if u have no other solution for acomodation.

If you want a cheap, clean, inexpensive base from which to explore the Old Town of Bucharest, then look no further. The Old Town is quickly accessible on foot, and many of the other sights are in the immediate vicinity. The 24 hour Hotel Bar,is a useful addition to the "party traveller", if you fancy a pint and a pizza at 5-00... This is an inexpensive old fashioned hotel in the centre of the city. The Old Town which has vibrant nightlife is less than 10 minutes walk away, and most other sights are within 15 minutes walk. Rooms are clean and warm. Not suitable for elderly people or those with mobility problems. There is a small lift but to access this... More

The building is old and it has character. If you want to stay in the lap of luxury, this is not the place for you. It is perfectly good, but not swanky. However, if you'd like to stay somewhere really central, affordable, and pleasant, this is it. Our room was very cheap, and when we got there we were surprised... More

This hotel is SO easy to locate from drop off 783 airport bus.. a mere 2 mins walk from/to Piata Universitatii metro/square. All staff really helpful and friendly. My room was basic but clean .. and at £24 a night for an en suite with balcony over life in Piata Rosetti, this was a fanastic deal. Bucharest was wonderful and... More

this is not a review of the hotel but a review of the restaurant and bar downstairs! the banat is in the old part of Bucharest and the great thing about it as opposed to lipscani is that it's not gentrified yet. it's a little funky in parts but during the day I felt safe! as for the banat bar... The spatious 3-room apartment was very old, but because of that rather charming, it was clean and everything worked including the air conditioning. We just wished the menu card for breakfast was translated, but we ordered the omelette which was quite ok., although the toast bread could have been toasted and instead of fanta, an orange juice would have been...
