The reviews of Casa Victor so far are generally negative, but I found the staff friendly if reserved. Approach and they will respond promptly. The room was clean, breakfast adequate, although service is spotty; small restaurant in same breakfast area for dinner was very good --real Romanian specialties--and great for a budget traveler. The hotel is not five stars, but... More

I liked this small hotel. Cosy rooms in a quiet area of Bucharest. It's close to one of the greatest parks where a lot of stuff happens in the summer. Nice and clean rooms for people who enjoy homelike feeling.

Good location but unfriendly staff. Room + breakfast 50 EUR for 2. Our room was stuffed with old furniture. Rooms are very different, so ask to see a few before deciding. Breakfast was OK but the waitress gave us only 1 cup of Nespresso and then disappeared forever. Luckily I discovered a pot of freshly brewed coffee behind the counter...

We checked into this hotel with high hopes, since it was chosen for us by locals and it is in a great neighborhood. However, our local hosts had not seen it, and I am sure they would not have booked it if they had. The room was dark, dank, depressing, with a toilet that ran loudly all night, uncomfortable bed... The Casa Victor had both good and bad points. The best thing about it was its location. To get there take the 783 airport bus to the Arc de Triomf, cross the main road -B-dul Prezan- away from Herestrau Park, go left and walk for about 5 to 10 minutes until you reach Str. Emanoil Porumbaru. Walk down this street... More

Bucharest Romania (April 2008) Bucharest is a lovely, stylish and cozy city but also is a bit (not to say a lot) deserted place as far as “public utilities” & town overall maintenance – appearance! However the huge and colorful streets, impressive museums, really big down-town parks (as HERASTRAU), efficient & above average ranking in total public transportation and sites... More
