One of the worst places I've ever stayed; we left early for a multitude of reasons. Arrived at 4pm on a Saturday to be told that the room wouldn't be ready until 7pm as the staff didn't work on that day for religious reasons. Not exactly a great start but we were offered another room instead which we took as... More

One night stopover, while travelling to Istanbul by train from Paris. Conveniently located close to the main station and attractive from the outside. The welcome is friendly, the hostess and her husband are interesting and informative, without being invasive. The room and everything inside the property is just great. It's quirky and cool and I would definitely come back!!

This was our first experience at a hostel. My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the private rooms and our experience was very positive. The pros of this hostel include: -Location, Stones throw from Bucharest's central train station. -Very helpful and friendly staff/family, we checked in at 2am and the owner was eager even at that ridiculous time, Pancake... Stayed here 2 nights. It is a 1920 building run by a canadian family. It is very cosy, the rooms are furnished with original pieces of the 20's. Debbie is fantastic, at breakfast her pancakes are what you need to start off the day. It is like you are one of the family not a guest. Debbie is great in helping... More

Lovely old premise located close to railways, bus services and metro. It is like living among he locals, however one side is seedy, the other side family. The owners managers were lovely, helpful people.

The room I was in smelt of sewerage and the bathroom was a mess when I got there! There was a used tampon floating in the toilet! I'm usually easy going and have stayed in many different places but this was bad! Breakfast was stone cold and stale! Even heard a few little creatures running around when I was sleeping!... More

It is impossible to think that any institution can be so careless and still receive over 2000 guests a year. If ever you are in anything near this situation, pack your bag, ask for your money back and LEAVE! It will be better for both parties. More

Bucharest is a very living and moving city (whether during daytime, or at night). In the middle of this never-sleeping metropolis, there is an "oasis" of quietness (as one of the previous reviewers mentioned). Indeed, I found myself to be able to sleep without a problem. There was no noise at all! I was staying at Villa 11 for a... More

A family run pensiune where from the moment you step in you feel at home. They all spoke to us in English which helped us to relax after our ride from the airport. It is very close to the railway station bus stop from the Otopeni airport. The room was clean and orderly. The bathroom was ensuite and all was... More

We will never forget our stay in this "hostel", because we spent there our most terryfing night ever. All the towels and bed sheets were full of blood, pee and other unidentifiable liquids...(check out the pictures for refence). The toilet wasn`t clean at all and there was no toilet paper. We couldn`t sleep because the entire room was full of... More

Firstly, we thank you for taking the time to review our home. Of course we do take issue at some of your comments but I guess no one likes a critic. The stains you mention on the matress cover in your photo are not blood but in fact cough syrup. A client managed to stain an entire bed with the... More
