My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Opera for three nights in September 2009. It was in a very good location, in a quiet side street a few minutes walk from Piata Revolutiei and with the Cismigiu Gardens on the doorstep. We were in room 204 which was good sized, especially for a city centre hotel, with an en-suite... more

This hotel had everything you would hope for and perhaps expect: good sized and comfortable rooms, central location etc. However, there was something about the service and charming opera style of the hotel that made it feel extra friendly and likeable. The breakfasts had a good choice of cereals, meats, cooked egg (scrambled and fried) and cold and hot meat.... more

I spent 5 nights in this hotel during the last week of July. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff were always courteous and willing to help. The location is very, very good...near the city center. No complaints and I would definately stay there again and recommend it to others. more

This hotel is good for people who need a lovely good breakfast and a clean nice room, not a fancy one... the breakfast is having everything u will need, and the room is quiet, clean, cozy and yes choose a high floor room with a view... our room was infront a wall 205.. but it was wide enough, the hotel... more

Stayed at the Opera hotel for 3 nights in March. A rather small hotel, 7 storeys high. Ask for high floor room, front side. -Location. Very good, near a main avenue, 15 min walk to the city center, the University and old town. Royal palace, Senate, Atheneul opera, also on 10 min walk. Area is quite safe. In the back... more

I think most of the reviews on here have this place nailed. Great location right near most of the sights and the rooms are quite nice as is the decor. The staff i suppose were a bit hit and miss although my usual standards had already been lowered after week of Romanian customer service. Checking in was done without any... more

Good location, nice building. Rooms are clean and very nice. The hotel is very good, but the the people are not very helpful and some money disappeared form the room while we were taking breakfast. So the accomodation is very good, the hotel is very good, just you should not wait for good care from the hotel people and watch... more

Nice hotel, no complaints whatsoever, except when going back to the airport. On arrival we had paid 40 LEI for the taxi ride to the hotel. When leaving, the hotel arranged our tranfer to the airport for 60 (currency). On arrival at the airport, the driver insisted on collecting 60 EURO! The hotel (Mr. Hampu) confirmed, however, there was no... more

Hotel Opera is in the center of Bucharest within walking distance to the main attractions. Altough our room was on the second floor, there was a huge wall in front of it blocking the wiew. Also there was no curtains in the bathroom window nor the window was closing properly. Other than that, everything was ok about the accomodation. more
