The hotel was fine, but leaving on a Sunday, and not being able to find stamps the concierge kindly offered to send my cards if I gave him the money for the stamps - They never arived - I think he went out and spent the 15 L on drinks the [--]. So don't trust them too much! more

Right in the center between the new town and the old. Decent enough rooms, very friendly staff who go the extra mile to get you those special extras. Had a problem with the hot water too during the later stages of the day. Mini bar very decently priced. TV stations have very little English more

I'm not sure how this compares to other hotels in Bucharest, but I didn't feel that it was worth 75 euros for a double room per night. Our room was on the shabby side and smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Other than that, it was fairly clean. I stayed at the Central in April, during the Tourism Fair. The hotel is clean though the furnishings are tired, the staff was helpfull and polite. Their breakfast was above average. I would certainly return for a budget stay at a very central location. more
