If you are on a budget or no other good options in bucharest this hotel is a great and "atypical" alternative. Location is perfect, the villa is nice and there is a nice bar/restaurant on the grood floor (huge terrace during summer). The rooms are huge for the price (less than 40e a night) and even if they are not... More

Ok, the cleaning must be re-managed... dust is an issue! Overall a good experience even if the breakfast is served after 9am. Staff is helpful and willing to accommodate your requests. I suggest it for holidays, not really for business. You are going to miss either the breakfast or the first meeting of your day!!

Its an old building renovated. There is a good restaurant under which is open from 9 till midnight. Rooms are well docareted but top floor dublex room can be uncomfartable for tall people. Watch your head!!! Staff are very helpful and friendly, reception works till midnight. Breakfast is very cheap and nice. Furniture needs some improvement. Rates are very good.... More

A great hotel, hidden behind the restaurant. Ideal location, very close to the metro. The rooms were very nice, clean, huge and with great design. It totally worths every single euro, I surely recommend it.

We booked a Duplex Suite in Villa Barrio for 2 nights near Christmas and were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room (which was actually a 3-leveled appartment) and its decoration. The bed was located on a small attic (wouldnt suggest it for really tall people) , one level down was a small attic-alike space with 2 comfortable armchairs... More

Stayed one night in Villa Barrio and was quite satisfied with the junior suite. As many others have written the "hotel" is situated on the top floor of a restaurant/lounge for the young and hip. We stayed at a thursday and was not bothered by anything from downstairs. The room is in three levels and very nice considered the ridicously... More

Can you imagine a beautiful mansion turned into a small hotel with a cozy garden, good restaurant and a bar? Well, don't bother imagining, it is right there in the middle of Bucharest. Nothing fancy in the rooms and it worth its price. The service is very good, the restaurant is surprisingly good. All in all - I'd go there... More

The Villa Barrio is a small hotel which at one time was a mansion and whose rooms are located above a very stylish bar/restaurant. The hotel offers excellent value for money and, although breakfast isn't included in the price, offers breakfast in the restaurant. Breakfast itself was of extremely high quality and very reasonably priced (from memory, c. Euro 7).... More

The Barrio is a renovated mansion: the ground floor is a stylish bar-restaurant, there are 7 rooms on the first floor, and apparently a nightclub in the basement. I suspect that had I stayed at a weekend, I'd have been irritated considerably by the latter, but between Monday and Thursday I had a great time, and would warmly recommend it.... More

Lets start with some warnings: Villa barrio is a club-restaurant in which the owners smartly are using the top of the villa as guest rooms (there are 6-7 rooms). The villa is old (may be 100 years old) and has been renovated with cheap materials like plastic floors and cheap furniture. There is no hotel reception (only reception for the... More
