I actually stayed in May 2014 but I have only just signed up to TripAdvisor but this is the best hostel I have ever stayed in! The owner was a lovely man and he was very helpful about telling us where to go in Bucharest! The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and the room was great. It was... More

It was my first trip alone and the first hostel to stay in. Although I shared dorm room with 5 guys, I really enjoyed my stay. Our room was big and my bed was comfortable. At first I was planning to stay just 2 nights..but as I had really great time in the hostel, I booked some extra nights. Atmosphere,... More

I loved the hostel for the minute I got in. It's so cosy, with a very agreable ambiance, and the owners are the sweetest people ever. They're always seeking your comfort and they're really nice to talk to. Also, there are a lot of adorable kitten, and a great shower for ONCE, If I come to bucharest again, I won't... More

I was there with three friends so we stayed in our own room. Room was very nice and big. Our only complaint is the bathroom. There is only one shower in the hostel, and not a very clean one. Everything else was great and staff was really nice and polite.

I spent there 2 days with my ultimate frisbee team (at the place at str. Horatiu, not the main facility in Dona street!). We enjoyed our stay and we would stay there again in future, however the place is new-adapted for a hostel and it wasn't 100% ready during our stay. Things I liked: -Very good location in the city... The title of my review describes my 6-day experience at Green Frog Hostel! Both the host (Marius) and the owner (Roxxana) were always so kind and careful with us. Marius is extremely polite and intelligent. You can talk to him for hours on all kinds of topics! He would always recommend us the best places to see and the best... More

This must have been one of the best hostel experiences I've had so far. The hostel is situated at walking distance from all the main attractions. We had to use public transportation only 3 or 4 times to get to the sights that were further away, like the Village Museum and the Arc. Marius was the best host, going out... More

I think it is important to inform that their single rooms serves in another building. Main building located in General Dona Street as mentioned in here. If you will stay in single room you will stay at Popa Tatu Street. It is very closed to General Dona Street. We traveled as a family and reserved a double bed room. Arrived... More

With the good reviews of this place, I was rather disappointed that it wasn't better. I had made a reserv. w/a cheap price for the 6bed dorm, but ended up in what appeared to be a make-shift or newly created 3 bed dorm. Okay, no problem, but unfortunately, this room, along with another dorm are located on either side of... More

I’m a big supporter of family run hostels but that doesn’t mean I will cut them slack. I was happy that Green Frog was close to Gara de Nord and a quick walk to the sights. Breakfast was tasty (bread, cheese, tomatoes, cukes and tea/coffee). I found the staff to be friendly and the house has a cute sitting area... More
