I've stayed in this hotel for nearly a week to play with a competitor in the Enescu Competition, and after getting off the stark train ride from Budapest to Bucharest found this a wonderful place to stay -- the room is modern and clean (spotless) in fact, and everything including the plumbing and air conditioning work just great. The staff... More

This hotel has a great central location. The rooms were nice and the air conditioning was great! I finally had a good nights sleep. The receptionist the evening we checked in could have been a little friendlier but the young men at the desk the next morning were great. Our guide was late meeting us that morning. The desk staff... We selected this hotel based on its location and price range upon arriving in Bucharest at 7am. What a great find! They let us check in early and were so accommodating from the minute we stepped out of the taxi. This hotel offers great service, yummy breakfast included, and a super comfortable room with a great shower! We can easily... More

I was surprised to see that one traveler thought the breakfast was "not amazing." I thought it was by far the best I had while touring Romania. We are vegetarians, and perhaps that accounts for the differing perceptions because in addition to eggs, bacon, & sausage they included a cheese tray, salads, fruits, whole grain rolls and breads. Everything was... More

Very good quality/price rate. Nice rooms, very well conditioned. Only the toilet is a bit too tiny. Breakfast is not amazing, but still fairly good. The location is nor the best possible in Bucharest, but is very convenient to city centre.

This small boutique hotel is well located (if invisible to cab drivers; several cab drivers refused the fare from the train station because they claimed not to know its location). Modern hotel, entrance in basement level, decent sized rooms, great breakfast, and helpful staff. (especially Adriana on day shift). Food was surprisingly good both for the breakfast (which may or... Had one night to spend in Bucharest and our tour booked us in this nice roomy (by European standards) hotel. The room was very comfortable, quiet and close to activities in downtown Bucharest. Surprisingly they only provided one bath towel (but 2 bath robes) in a double room so ask for an extra if there are 2 people. The included... More

I had stayed there for my business travel and really like the hotel. The staff was helpful and restaurant was good. The rooms were cosy and nicely done. The location of the hotel was also very good and walkable from downtown and supermarkets.

We have never been before in Romania. Arriving around 1700 inbound from Sofia after a 6 hour drive, we had a bit of hard time finding the hotel, but after arriving, looking at the rooms, our night rate, the friendliness of the staff--especially Eddie--and above all, the location just minutes walking to old Bucuresti, hotel Berthelot far exceeded any of...
