Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Astoria. I stayed for six nights upon arrival in Croatia and a month later stayed for one night before moving onto Germany. The location is great. The service is even better. The hotel is one of the older hotels in the city; however, the interior has all of the modern... More

Arrived for one night at midday. There allowed us to check in ,and upgraded us to a suite. Very large room, and very well furnished. Good internet. Very helpful man at the from desk. Easy walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast is massive. Everything you could want, including sparkling wine. I can see why everyone writes good reviews, the... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night on arrival in Croatia en route to the Plitvice Lakes. We arrived mid-afternoon and were checked in swiftly and without fuss. We were immediately given information about the city and advice on how to make the best of our short stay, including a suggested walking tour. We took the suggestion up and... More

We stayed 3 nights at this amazing hotel. Spacious room, shower with abundant stream (Niagara falls) and a "never ending" breakfast menu of everything you can imagine. Great staff, great location, quiet, clean - courtesy amenities - you name it you've got it. I am confident that if it would have been up to the Hotel, the rain would have... More

We had a very nice stay. As others have said, great location, short walk to the centre of town and the train station. The hotel itself is very nice and has an excellent buffet breakfast. A very good choice.

Had planned for 2 nights in Zagreb with one day to visit plitvice lakes. Our arrival was a late one from Budapest by train and we found the hotel easily on foot within 10 minutes. Given the local currency, it was helpful to find an ATM inside as well as the reception offered to exchange Euros at a reasonable rate.... More

We flew from the US to Zagreb so we could drive to Plitvace National Park before vacationing on the Dalmation coast for two weeks. We were told by a Croatian-based travel company that the Best Western Premier Hotel Astoria was in a good location to Zagreb old town square and was very good. They were wrong. It was EXCELLENT! Starting... More

Just had 3 nights in a Executive room, well worth the extra $ for the larger room. Great spacious room overlooking the street. Room very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast included in price. Short walk to centre via beautiful park. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay.

We spent one night in this hotel during our visit to Zagreb this summer. Nice hotel, very convenient location and good service. The room was big and clean. The breakfast is quite good too. Definitely a good option if you visit Zagreb.

I am a travel consultant so I do get away quite regularly. I have to say that the staff here at the front desk were just absolutely fantastic. They were extremely friendly and helpful and made the stay a great experience. The rooms are not that big but still good by European standards. We were 2 friends travelling together so... More
