This should really be one of the worst hotels I have ever been in. And I have seen a lot of hotels all around. The whole outlook of the hotel is outdated, scrappy and has the style of a hotel from the 1930's. It's all brown inside. The room was extremely small, the double bed just fitted. Only one power... more

OK - the plus points first. Hotel Laguna is reasonably priced for Zagreb, which is seriously lacking when it comes to reasonably-priced mid-range accommodation. Considering it's a 3* hotel, it's impressive to see the hotel has its own sauna and gym, shop, lift access, restaurant and so on, together with the fact it really isn't far from the centre -... more

Hotel Laguna was fine. Quiet. Good price. Somewhat dated decor. Clean enough room, if a little pokey. Desk staff friendly enough. The walk into the city centre was a little further than I'd imagined at 20 mins, but, then again, not really a huge problem - there is the option of a regular tram. Must be the cheapest hotel option... more

On the positive side, the Laguna is very well-located (15-20 minute walk into the city center) and the staff were quite friendly. However, the hotel facilities were pretty run-down and the room was dingy at best. For a one-night stay while passing through Zagreb, this would not be a bad choice for the money. For a longer stay, I'd recommend... more

I came to this hotel not expecting it to be amazing after reading previous reviews saying it was "nothing special" - but I needed somewhere for a short break in Zagreb, and the stock photos on various booking sites seemed to look ok. The hotel is very large, and used to have two blocks of accomodation, however only one has... more

As pointed out earlier, this used to be a 4 star hotel, but one of the stars had been removed from the large sign outside. I'm not sure what they had done to deserve this, but I think the hotel was rather good for a 3 star. Reception was staffed by people with excellent English, room was quite large and... more

We went to Zagreb a few weeks ago for the England match and so most of the Hotels were booked up. This seemed to be the only one we could get in so we booked it. After reading the rewiews on here I was a little worried but it turned out to be a decent hotel. If you look at... more

I notice that travel Advisor qoutes 2 star. We stayed on nights 4 and 5 on this week tour. The room was tiny, in poor condition, badly in need... more

We stayed at the Laguna for two days in September. The price was 64€ per night for a double room including breakfast, booked via gtahotels.com. The condition of the room was very good, although the furniture was a bit outdated. However, it was perfectly clean and well equipped. Buffet Breakfast was very good and the choice was large. Reception and... more

We stayed there for two nights in a "apartmenet", autumn/winter season and if you planing to take hot bath after long trip you are in for a big surprise. Room was comfortable and really enough for a family. True, carperts and some other parts of furniture such as sofas need change or camuflage material to cover stains, but other bits... more
