Stayed here for 3 nights after following a Lonely Planet recommendation. Good location and relatively good value for money. Unlike many of the reviewers here, my boyfriend and I actually liked the kitsch design of the rooms. We had a little peek into other apartments when the cleaners weren't looking to discover some pretty crazily over the top bedrooms and... more

My wife and I stayed with our 2 teenage children for 2 nights. We were shown our room before we handed over any money. We had a suite on the upper floor comprising of a bedroom with an adjoining lounge with 2 single beds. The bathroom was recently renovated but had missing tiles and fittings. The room was very kitsch... more

Friend living in Crotia booked for me based on location being perfect for what we planned to do, price, and she knew I needed in room internet access to do some work even while traveling. Hotel is overly decorated but some may like. My first thought was it must be impossible to clean well with all those furnishings everywhere but... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. The room was comfy, clean, and everything worked (heating, shower, toilette, TV ) fine. Yes, the toilette was loud when it was flushed, but it worked better than in some other hotels I have been in. The carpet was totally clean. I can say that because it is a dark colour so... more

When the 6 of us arrived our rooms were not booked, we had to choose where we wanted to stay. Since we did not want all to be together in a suite with only 1 small bathroom, we split up. Our guide had a single room - very small. 2 of the ladies took a room on the first floor... more

At the first glance the hotel seemed good for it's price. Little overdone tasteless decorations. When asked the manager said breakfast was from 4.00am, since we had early flights leaving Zagreb and it wasn't possible to pay in advance. After dinner half past ten we got back at the hotel. Soon we realized toilet wasn't working, but only one at... more

This is a nice hotel. I was a young lone female from NZ and found this hotel rather pleasant. The staff were very nice, Croatians are hard workers and have to deal with low wages and trying to please fussy Westerners who book the cheapest hotel and then complain. The hotel location is superb, I expect the price is basically... more

I am fashion designer and I have a very fine taste and I complain MOST of the time. But each time I have stayed in hotel Ilica it was pleasure and family oriented for me. People were warm, and cozy look in the woods kept me resting well in the morning. www.alenk.com more

Out of this world. And in the worst sense possible. Hotel Ilica is the kitschiest hotel I've ever set foot into... Imagine the owner dreaming to decorate his/her hotel like a little Schonnbrun, but having money only for chewing gum. If you want to see the most tasteless rooms in the world, go to Ilica Hotel (my personal favorites are... more
