This was a clean, friendly hotel, a throwback to another age when the clientele was clearly the Communist upper crust. Today it serves very middle-incomed groups who come in tours from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Belerusse, et al. Because it was not filled when I was there -- was in fact rather empty -- it felt ghostly, haunted. But in a... More

My husband, son and I stayed in this hotel for 10 days and couldn't find any faults with the service or staff. They were very friendly and the room was very clean. There is public transport to Ban Jelacic- either by tram (which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel) or the bus which stops just outside Arena Zagreb.... More

Room with space and a terrace. But the breakfast it's very poor. It's in the other side of the zagreb (of the river) so I recomend you to have a car. With a car it's 5 minutes if you have GPS because there is no indications in the city. It's quiet the hotel and you have park.

We opt for this hotel in a big hurry and without any clue on what we can find there. Being a large group, looking not only for accommodation but for some meeting facilities (seminar room, projector, etc.) we asked if by chance, they can offer us all these. The answer was positive. We received a good price for accommodation and... More

Hotel I was built around 1990s, when that area was just fields and grass. Hotel I is located on the outskirts of the area of New Zagreb, so it is very good for business people and people with cars. The tram and bus services are however close by and frequent. Rooms are air-conditioned and spacious with balconies, but not so... More

My friend and I decided to squeeze in a quick city break in Zagreb, but being so near to Xmas we decided to do it on the cheap. We're both pretty well travelled so we didn't have any particular expectations of the Hotel I, as it was only a 3*. So we could cope with the scratchy blankets, the lack... More

I could say all the bad things about this hotel, but I don't want to do that. This hotel has its advantages and disadvantages. Some people may not be so happy to stay in this hotel,it's theirs fault, they chose a 3* hotel. That means they should have expected lower standards and cheaper price. In fact, hotel is really good for big groups that... More

Sadly the hotel was a disaster. Pretty bad to close our vacation in this hotel. It wasnt in the center as told, but 15km by car away from the center. The hotel is old and stinks like cigarets, which is alowed in the rooms. There was no warm water - it was cold. The walls are so thin that you... More

We just came back from staying at this hotel and thank god it was only a one night stay.We stayed in the African room and the room was shabby, torn curtains, windows looked like they'd never been cleaned,a layer of dust on the headboard, but the worst was poo splashes up the toilet from previous guests. The entertainment was utter... More
